Been looking forward to it for quite a while. I think it's out next month? Will pick up the psn version...

ReikaiDemon (22 hours ago) 0 Reply My god, shut up you fucking fanboys, and just get off of each others cases, damn. Just play the games you want, and stop talking shit about each other. Besides, lets face it, without Sony and Nintendo competition with each other, their handheld market would stagnate with crappy games. Plus the fact that stupid fanboys lambaste a rival company and it's fans just because it's anything BUT their preference is just complete idiocy in it's entirety. Play your fucking games, and enjoy, geez, games=fun

I wonder how it will control. Tilting the SixAxis? How about on the PSP?
― Will M., Tuesday, 19 February 2008 16:00 (seventeen years ago)
Sure, I didn't mean my comment to be read as console war fodder - just I'd prefer to play the game kicking back on a big screen and nice stereo than on a handheld.
I suspect / hope the game will be controlled with the dpad, please
― Jeff LeVine, Tuesday, 19 February 2008 18:04 (seventeen years ago)
I think this looks better as a video than it's going to play as a game.
― JimD, Tuesday, 19 February 2008 18:09 (seventeen years ago)
Apparently it's shipping with a level editor! And some way to share those levels...

this looks pretty cool, in a line rider sort of way so similarly it'll be short lived but still could be fun while it lasts.

what an awful sentence that was.
looks awes

The demo is apparently up on the Japanese store... And here's how you control the game...
Left or Right Stick: Spins perspective
Hold R1: Spins perspective faster
Hold L1 : Activates motion sensor to spin perspective instead of the left or right stick
Press Triangle: Goes into "thinking mode" (puppet stops but u can still spin perspective)
Hold X: Puppet walks faster
Square: Snap the edges together to get a clean connection.
Select: Toggles timer / control instructions
Start: Pause (can't control perspective)

Looks like this is coming out in North America in early May. Apparently the ps3 and psp versions will be downloadable only (no blu-ray or umd disc release) and both versions will feature 56 completely different levels.
It's a little weird to me that they seem to be splitting up the game like that. I wish both version featured all the puzzles and then you could pick which one you'd prefer to buy, but I guess I don't mind - I'll take both, probably. Very curious about the pricing now.

webber - did I see you playing this a week or so ago? Was that the japanese demo or the full game? You are Colonel Poo, right?
― Jeff LeVine, Monday, 14 April 2008 17:06 (seventeen years ago)
and what did you think?
― Jeff LeVine, Monday, 14 April 2008 17:07 (seventeen years ago)
Demo for PS3 and PSP versions hits the US store tomorrow! Still no official release date (other than May) listed, but it seems like usually games come out just a week or two after the demo gets released. User level creation & sharing confirmed as well...

Each version of the game is only going to be ten bucks (glad I didn't give into temptation and import the 40 dollar japanese psp game). Extra downloadable levels will be free
― Jeff LeVine, Thursday, 24 April 2008 02:57 (seventeen years ago)
woo hoo - full game out tomorrow!
Can't wait to try out the level editor
― Jeff LeVine, Wednesday, 30 April 2008 19:55 (seventeen years ago)

― Jeff LeVine, Friday, 2 May 2008 02:27 (seventeen years ago)
webber - did I see you playing this a week or so ago? Was that the japanese demo or the full game?
yeah, this was me. i was playing the full game (i got it a little earlier from the hong kong store). i think it's great, but you're right, it's very hard. i am getting stuck somewhere in the 2nd-3rd sets of levels. it's very enjoyable, but i don't find myself wanting to play more than a level or two at a time.
― webber, Friday, 2 May 2008 05:06 (seventeen years ago)
i love games like that! ooh i want this
― Tracer Hand, Friday, 2 May 2008 10:12 (seventeen years ago)
Now I'm starting to think this game is a bit too easy. Because there are very few different principles to solving the problems, once you get the hang of them, everything in the game seems to be basically the same. I'm only halfway through, but lately I've been beating every puzzle on the first try w/o too much challenge. I do like the game, but they should have maybe added in a few more different principles so there was more of a sense of progress and less of a sense of repetition.

I downloaded the demo of this game and it's totally awesome but not awesome enough to keep me from playing Q-Bert.
― HI DERE, Monday, 2 June 2008 16:02 (seventeen years ago)
I can't find this game anywhere in the PS3 store. Where is it?
― nate woolls, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 07:25 (seventeen years ago)
Where are you? I guess it's not out in Europe yet... looks like July maybe... http://uk.playstation.com/games-media/games/detail/item99986/echochrome/
