i heard that people saw this game a couple of CESes ago and it didn't look anything special, this trailer was outsourced to a hype-trailer-making company, so, put on your skeptic jodhpurs

basically it's a zombie survival RPG/shooter, whether it's terrible or not seems to be beside the point

the IGN review is hilarious, it basically says "there are a bunch of terrible things in this game but it's the most fun I've had in months"

im debating buying two copies of this game so me and my roomate can play co-op but in different rooms.. not sure if this is a good plan or not.. alot of the hate for the game seems to be focused on the singleplayer with a bunch of 'multiplayer is ok' caveats tossed in.. so maybe its not all that bad?

Those really can't be final animations, can they? That's pretty grim.

So there's no such thing as a feminist whore? Not true. Obviously the "whore" part is an insult rather than anything literal, but nevertheless a character who consciously chooses to do more damage specifically to males sounds like the perfect person for the title.

The fact remains that when a black person is killed within a videogame, we shouldn't be required to kill off a white person just to even things out and stay politically correct. It's ridiculous and we know it. So why should a stab at (a small selection of) one gender require balancing? Sexism certainly exists, but a single comment isn't proof of anything. Nevertheless that's all it takes for the media to have a field day and the moral highgrounders to start their pathetic ranting because the world isn't being fair. Isn't it? A few years ago the reply to that statement would have been "well, that's life".

so... months ago i bought this, played it for long enough to hate it, returned it, had one of the dudes i know from gamestop cajole me into buying it again for uh stupid cheap, played it a bunch yesterday and now i think i might really like it? are there some brokenass questlines and insanely embarassingly counter reality aspects like constantly respawning vehicles that are identical at your random base camp? hell yes. and the combat feels pretty flaily and uncontrolled - but i think that might actually add to the "HOLY FUCK ZOMBIES" aspect. also the drop in drop out coop is pretty well executed as long as no griefing fucks join up and decided to stand just outside the mission complete area, which happened to me twice the first time i had the game.

i played this game for like 8 solid hours one day and loved every fucking second. haven't played it since.

I actually played it a couple of months ago (piratelol) and stopped playing after a few hours because I was enjoying it so much that I wanted to wait for it to go on sale and play it online with my friends. Wish I'd played it before C&P 2011, definite sleeper hit.

This was one of those Xbox Games With Gold freebies and I wanted to clear some space, so I gave it a shot and ended up playing for several hours. Also, I'm getting old, because this game gave me some gradually nasty motion sickness.

I'm still not sure this game is actually good and not sure if I'm gonna play it again. Like... in the moment it kind of works - you play and can ignore a lot of the stupid stuff, the weird controls and animations and terrible characters - but thinking about it now, it's a tedious loot n' grind. I'm playing single-player only, btw - didn't want to co-op with randoms. Maybe it's more fun with people blatantly breaking the game.

Also it's pretty shameless how even the achievement icons cop Left 4 Dead's style completely
