please answer this i love games question

I would not own a PS3 if I hadn't received one as a gift. The only game I am salivating over is Soul Calibur 4; I don't care about most of the others.

I still think the 360 has the initial edge and is apparently easier to program games for. You'll finish MGS4 in like a month and then...?

that's funny, i was just reading the most recent Charlie Brooker computer game review the other day, while watching Leeds play in Europe, listening to the new Longpigs album and wondering what would happen in the last episode of Friends.

well, if you already got a bunch of 360 games you're planning to go back to, I don't see why you'd get rid of it. It's a drag that the machine is faulty (and it's really a drag to get your console back from repair only to have to send it back in again right away), but you have to wait to get it back again anyway, right.

At this point, in terms of games, obviously there is a bigger library of 360 games, but as for good games, I think it's getting a lot closer to equal. Both systems have a handful of good exclusives, but most new games are coming out on both systems now and are pretty much the same. Live still seems to have more usur friendly features than ps3 (setting up to play metal gear online is an absurdly stupid process), though you can play games online for free over psn and for the most part it works about the same (except it's harder to set up games with your friends). Supposedly later this month the next ps3 firmware is supposed to add more user freindly friend fucntionality, but I wouldn't hold my breath. The downloadable games line-up on the 360 is also better (geo wars, rez, swos, n+ - while on ps3 the only standout downloadable games so far are super stardust hd & echochrome - though wipeout hd is supposed to be out in a few weeks).

oop - forgot about that one - and I'd agree - great little game (but not as good as geometry wars - though both are available on steam too)

so maybe i should just buy a $399 console to play one game? :/

THIS is the real problem for me lately; I can't handle a sixty hour game even if i wanted to.

The game is. The cut scenes are about sixty hours.

Both systems are still too expensive.

mgs4 cut scenes are blu-ray cut scenes so it is like watching a game from the future

I just wish they'd add friend races to gt5p (and voice chat). I mean, I love that game, but it's just so limited...

For racing I've recently picked up F1 Champoinship Edition, which seems good - though I've yet to put a ton of time into it, or try out the online (if anybody is even still playing). I'm curious about Ferrari Challenge due out in late August, I think...

I also picked up Top Spin 3 today and so far it seems good, subtle & a little more challenging than other tennis games out there. Haven't tried out the multi (have to finish tennis school first, so I'm not just slaughtered).
