ah, the classic curveball.swf
i always thing i would be great at this game if i could play it with a mouse, but i've only used a touchpad on a laptop, which isn't the most responsive.

up to level 5/6 i mostly win on the first return with a slight curve into the opposite corner
6 and especially 7 i try to return it with no curve as centrally as possible, then repeat tho gently moving towards one corner til about the third or fourth return when i go for rafael nadal level powerspin
8 is a crapshoot, idk how it works but occasionally it does
9 is the end of all hope

this is EXACTLY what being an athlete with chronic ankle injuries is like
i always go for the most wicked curve possible on the first shot on all levels. i probably need to rethink my strategy
― Thanks WEBSITE!! (Z S), Tuesday, 25 September 2012 23:31 (thirteen years ago)
no you need to go with the most wicked curve possible on the first shot
― barthes simpson, Wednesday, 26 September 2012 00:29 (thirteen years ago)
How do you do that
― bell biv devo (Stevie D(eux)), Wednesday, 26 September 2012 00:34 (thirteen years ago)
Not so easy on a trackball, I'm here to say.

xpost you move your e-paddle as you click on the ball to serve it. in other words, swipe the cursor rapidly as you serve, and click it while it's over the ball. that works for non-serves too, but it's riskier because you could miss ball entirely, whereas if you miss the ball during the serve you're not penalized.

playing curveball.swf on a trackball is like hardcore difficulty mode, i can't imagine
Maybe if I used my palm instead of my thumb, like it was Missile Command.
(P.S. I hated Missile Command.)

I'm finding it difficult. The sensitivity needs to be turned up a bit.

I just tried this and was doing fine (with a mouse) and then on level 5 the framerate suddenly freaked out and my paddle wouldn't move and I lost so screw this game.
