Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2012, because apparently we have run out of names for things

Bought this yesterday, popped it in to give it a try last night and 4 hours later realized what time it was and stumbled upstairs. its really really really good. anybody else?

Basically think Burnout Paradise with police chases, evasion, and roadblocks. Cop stuff is integrated really well - if you blow past a cop or sideswipe/tbone one in free ride, they instigate a pursuit, which escalates as you clip more of them, all the way up to swat suvs and spike strips etc. also, certain race events have scripted police interventions, so you are both trying to ram your opponents off the road and win while avoiding cops and/or using them to take out other drivers. rubberbanding certainly exists (btw this is def a arcade racer, not a sim) but it isnt there to an obnoxious level. lots of interesting city structure, your car upgrades come from finding a parked car and jumping into it with a button press, which generates car specific races scattered all over the place which lead to upgrades for that vehicle. basically its the best arcade racer ive played so far, more coherent than burnout paradise, but less over the top than split/second.

I'm digging it too. The online is silly fun like Paradise, races, co-op challenges, etc.

You wouldn't have picked this up on PS3, by chance? Cuz that'd be cool and such.

this game is great. should play it some more.

the online shit is so fun. i got one event that was like, jump off this airplane fuselage (in the airfield obv) and that's a huge high jump so after i made it and turned around to go jump again i saw like 5 other dudes come flying off the airplane, crashing into each other in midair and into me as they hit the ground. the game's dedication to chaos is admirable.

i also like the way there is constant integration of competative infodumps abt other people on your friendlist, esp the gamerpicture billboard feature.

Billboard feature is A+. Totally surprised me the first time I saw it.
