it would be fair to say that nikola mirotic's peak trade value was before he ever played in the nba right? the sixers should trade saric before he comes over

i like noel a lot i think he's clearly a valuable NBA player but i would trade any/all of those guys if it helps make simmons better

Yeah I will believe embiid is real when he plays 70+ games and gets off of Twitter so this is really Simmons-okafor-Noel which ain't bad but still a long way from doing anything at all

It's p lol if steins reporting is correct that philly keeps trying to give okafor to Danny for #3 and getting rebuffed, Danny's probably trying to get them to take some garbage bag full of second rounders and end of bench guys instead to clear some space

I've made my peace with that third pick not really being worth much and the most likely outcome is some moderate upgrades to this years squad of fourth and fifth best guys, seems like everyone is all too aware that ainge is trying to shank them for a real player with that third pick and he'll just have to wait and ninja his way into the next harden type situation

i'm surprised based danny can't at least get milwaukee interested in dealing middleton. bucks could use another point guard, which they can acquire by drafting dunn at 3, as insurance against both MCW's proven bustitude and the possibility that point giannis may not work as a primary offensive strategy

oh well, time to start watching film of the dragan i guess

yea i wanted the celtics to go after him last year and was surprised that afaik they didn't even try sending him an offer sheet

really hoping one or more of those mediocre east teams w/ bunch of talent steps forward next year (bucks, pistons, the orlando magic theory)

tho obv the west equivs are all better (jazz nuggets twolves) since the east isn't allowed to ever have the prospect of being the good place

i think the pistons could take another considerable leap, in no small part stemming from possibility that hack-a rules will get changed but also bc the basic core of that team is sound and still young - no reason to think drummond, jackson and tobias harris won't get better

yeah also they have the stan factor

i know ive said it before but lakers executing the sixers tanking process better than them and receiving zero flack for it is really something

kobe masked anything else they were trying to do

letting kobe play a zillion minutes of low efficiency bball for a couple years was a brilliant tanking mechanism+cover-up all in one

ya i tend to agree the tell being their repeated failed attempts to sign free agents

tho tanking cldve been their backup plan

trading for roy hibbert and signing nick young and hiring byron scott will def go down as the most successful accidental tanking plan of all time tho

it was pretty genius. probably faked that j randle injury too. let the man sit a year and don't f him up having to listen to kobe/byron for an extra year
