noah looked utterly washed this season but you have to figure he'll be better next year. but the knicks dumping robin lopez's reasonable contract and their first round pick PG to pick up like $40 million worth of salary in broken down d rose & joakim is.................

J0rdan S., Thursday, 30 June 2016 13:37 (nine years ago)

that's how they've always rolled though. the antonio mcdyess approach.

Treeship, Thursday, 30 June 2016 13:39 (nine years ago)

and how well it's worked!

J0rdan S., Thursday, 30 June 2016 13:42 (nine years ago)

kind of hoping for interesting stuff from the knicks but we'll see

marcos, Thursday, 30 June 2016 13:46 (nine years ago)

westbrook oladipo durant horford adams is some world destroying shit if they can stitch a bench together

― Clay, Thursday, June 30, 2016 2:46 AM (6 hours ago) Bookmark Flag Post Permalink

Woo lord trying to score against this would be terrifying. Donovan could take half the game off and just say "go where al points if you're unsure"

yea looking forward to this, hope it happens

marcos, Thursday, 30 June 2016 13:47 (nine years ago)

Y'all okc is not getting Al Horford

6 god none the richer (m bison), Thursday, 30 June 2016 14:26 (nine years ago)

that does seem far fetched but i'm not sure why he'd return to atlanta except for reasons of $$$

J0rdan S., Thursday, 30 June 2016 14:28 (nine years ago)

Looking at their payroll they'd have to move Kanter, ilyasova, and one other contract. I'll admit that's a he'll of a starting 5, but they'd still have a shitty bench.

6 god none the richer (m bison), Thursday, 30 June 2016 14:30 (nine years ago)

i think ilyasova has a non guaranteed contract that they're gonna wave

both rose and noah have been either awful or injured for years now, a bounce back season for one of them isnt out of the relm of possibility but both seems way too much to ask

lag∞n, Thursday, 30 June 2016 14:48 (nine years ago)

"bounce back" is really relative too

J0rdan S., Thursday, 30 June 2016 14:50 (nine years ago)

truuuu

lag∞n, Thursday, 30 June 2016 14:51 (nine years ago)

crazy to think the bulls had two allstars in their prime that totally shit the bed via injuries

lag∞n, Thursday, 30 June 2016 14:52 (nine years ago)

healthy rose/noah/butler is an extremely formidable core

that knicks lineup could finish anywhere between 2 and 14 in the east pretty much

ciderpress, Thursday, 30 June 2016 17:26 (nine years ago)

do rose and noah want to play together any more? seems weird

moistest hoist (Spottie), Thursday, 30 June 2016 17:32 (nine years ago)

the knicks are an amazing franchise

lag∞n, Thursday, 30 June 2016 17:40 (nine years ago)

second in..... the lottery?

J0rdan S., Thursday, 30 June 2016 20:46 (nine years ago)

yeah i'm not sure rose/melo/zinger/noah is really any better than what the bulls put out there last year, and that team missed the playoffs

k3vin k., Thursday, 30 June 2016 20:51 (nine years ago)

that team could def be in the lump of five or so teams competing for the final 2 playoff spots

J0rdan S., Thursday, 30 June 2016 20:54 (nine years ago)

what happens if every east team finishes 41-41

ciderpress, Thursday, 30 June 2016 21:01 (nine years ago)

celtics prob more than a 41 win team considering the addition of durant

lag∞n, Thursday, 30 June 2016 21:10 (nine years ago)

also boogie is a positive addition for the cs

Clay, Thursday, 30 June 2016 21:15 (nine years ago)

ya reasonable upgrade on kelly o

lag∞n, Thursday, 30 June 2016 21:16 (nine years ago)

Hearing that Dwight Howard is leaning toward either Boston or Atlanta. Doesn't look like anybody else is left in the picture.

rip boston or atlanta

Clay, Thursday, 30 June 2016 22:42 (nine years ago)

atlanta is weird they don't have a whole lot left other than millsap i figured they'd be taking the year off

ciderpress, Thursday, 30 June 2016 23:16 (nine years ago)

newish ownership so i could see them wanting to at least stay a playoff team or keep what is not historically the most devoted fanbase engaged. love al and want him to stay but i can understand the thinking behind being reluctant to max him for five years. there was some fantasizing out loud of what if kd came here that followed 'why isn't atlanta getting a meeting?' and it was a nice vision. could okc clear up space by doing a sign and trade w/ atlanta? we'd take whatever contracts to make it work and they could throw in sabonis to make it worth atlanta's while. maybe atl thinks 'o we can fix him' about dwight but if horford splits i would definitely be thinking go young. i guess in theory you could sign dwight and then see how the team looks and then if come the trade deadline you're like a 4 seed or worse then you blow it up idk, i wouldn't say i'm hoping atl gets dwight but if the money isn't bad it wouldn't have to be a disaster i guess. i just think it's very unlikely the money won't be bad.

balls, Friday, 1 July 2016 00:03 (nine years ago)

there was a moment during the finals early when i thought ok horford might be gone and teague is probably gone so let's blow it up and maybe we could get love and some assets for millsap (who basically only has one year left btw iirc), thinking lebron would be pissed and desperate enough for us to fleece cleveland somehow. love could still get dealt but the incentives at work in cleveland now are totally different. also thinking about how newish ownership might want to make not the smartest long term moves just to stay a playoff team, it occurs to me that coaches w/ personnel control have that kind of motivation in play also. i forget what podcast it was pointed out on but: coaches hate to lose, hate to coach losing teams. also those wins and losses go on their resume.

Result: You're headed to the Brooklyn Nets!

fml

Clay, Friday, 1 July 2016 00:38 (nine years ago)

what do you do to get the nets - i don't care about the weather, i need a diverse city, i need the ball, and i need all the money?

balls, Friday, 1 July 2016 00:43 (nine years ago)

idk i said i was into food carts and cold weather and don't care about stats

Clay, Friday, 1 July 2016 00:54 (nine years ago)

i got the mavs lol

lag∞n, Friday, 1 July 2016 01:27 (nine years ago)

I chose these things except the cold weather, I think it's because we don't care about stats (such as WINNING) that have led us to the Nets.
