that knicks lineup could finish anywhere between 2 and 14 in the east pretty much

second in..... the lottery?

J0rdan S., Thursday, 30 June 2016 20:46 (nine years ago)

yeah i'm not sure rose/melo/zinger/noah is really any better than what the bulls put out there last year, and that team missed the playoffs

k3vin k., Thursday, 30 June 2016 20:51 (nine years ago)

that team could def be in the lump of five or so teams competing for the final 2 playoff spots

J0rdan S., Thursday, 30 June 2016 20:54 (nine years ago)

what happens if every east team finishes 41-41

ciderpress, Thursday, 30 June 2016 21:01 (nine years ago)

celtics prob more than a 41 win team considering the addition of durant

lag∞n, Thursday, 30 June 2016 21:10 (nine years ago)

also boogie is a positive addition for the cs

Clay, Thursday, 30 June 2016 21:15 (nine years ago)

lag∞n, Thursday, 30 June 2016 21:16 (nine years ago)

Chuck D ‏@MrChuckD

Hearing that Dwight Howard is leaning toward either Boston or Atlanta. Doesn't look like anybody else is left in the picture.

rip boston or atlanta

Clay, Thursday, 30 June 2016 22:42 (nine years ago)

atlanta is weird they don't have a whole lot left other than millsap i figured they'd be taking the year off

ciderpress, Thursday, 30 June 2016 23:16 (nine years ago)

newish ownership so i could see them wanting to at least stay a playoff team or keep what is not historically the most devoted fanbase engaged. love al and want him to stay but i can understand the thinking behind being reluctant to max him for five years. there was some fantasizing out loud of what if kd came here that followed 'why isn't atlanta getting a meeting?' and it was a nice vision. could okc clear up space by doing a sign and trade w/ atlanta? we'd take whatever contracts to make it work and they could throw in sabonis to make it worth atlanta's while. maybe atl thinks 'o we can fix him' about dwight but if horford splits i would definitely be thinking go young. i guess in theory you could sign dwight and then see how the team looks and then if come the trade deadline you're like a 4 seed or worse then you blow it up idk, i wouldn't say i'm hoping atl gets dwight but if the money isn't bad it wouldn't have to be a disaster i guess. i just think it's very unlikely the money won't be bad.

balls, Friday, 1 July 2016 00:03 (nine years ago)

there was a moment during the finals early when i thought ok horford might be gone and teague is probably gone so let's blow it up and maybe we could get love and some assets for millsap (who basically only has one year left btw iirc), thinking lebron would be pissed and desperate enough for us to fleece cleveland somehow. love could still get dealt but the incentives at work in cleveland now are totally different. also thinking about how newish ownership might want to make not the smartest long term moves just to stay a playoff team, it occurs to me that coaches w/ personnel control have that kind of motivation in play also. i forget what podcast it was pointed out on but: coaches hate to lose, hate to coach losing teams. also those wins and losses go on their resume.

Clay, Friday, 1 July 2016 00:38 (nine years ago)

what do you do to get the nets - i don't care about the weather, i need a diverse city, i need the ball, and i need all the money?

balls, Friday, 1 July 2016 00:43 (nine years ago)

idk i said i was into food carts and cold weather and don't care about stats

idk i said i was into food carts and cold weather and don't care about stats

I chose these things except the cold weather, I think it's because we don't care about stats (such as WINNING) that have led us to the Nets.

Last Brexit to Oakland (Leee), Friday, 1 July 2016 01:46 (nine years ago)

maybe it's just not caring

Clay, Friday, 1 July 2016 01:47 (nine years ago)

lol woj in his domain, readying the explosive tweets

Clay, Friday, 1 July 2016 02:57 (nine years ago)

woj claims Whiteside is leaning mavs. feels like the setup to dj 2.0

also someone is going to massively overpay chandler parsons in the coming days

geometry-stabilized craft (art), Friday, 1 July 2016 03:01 (nine years ago)

could be the grizz of all places re: parsons, which actually kinda might work for them

re: whiteside I think cuban puts him in a fuckin leadlined box (like the one he sealed cyberdust in) until July 8 once he gets an agreement in principle

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Friday, 1 July 2016 03:17 (nine years ago)

lots of ppl saying Whiteside going to sign with whoever the first team is to put a 100m contract in front of him. if miami doesn't do this before dallas or the Lakers he's prob gone

geometry-stabilized craft (art), Friday, 1 July 2016 03:19 (nine years ago)

apparently it's down to portland, dallas, and miami. go mavs.

Clay, Friday, 1 July 2016 03:35 (nine years ago)

Sources: Clippers officials met with Austin Rivers Thursday in Orlando, and Rivers is expected to talk with Knicks, possibly Portland Friday

RIP fun blazers

moistest hoist (Spottie), Friday, 1 July 2016 04:04 (nine years ago)

I do not think the Grizzlies should pay Conley 150 million over 5 years

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 1 July 2016 04:06 (nine years ago)

i won't allow myself the luxury of hope, but Whiteside would be a good addition (longest shot, Conley as well, would be a fun team)

geometry-stabilized craft (art), Friday, 1 July 2016 04:08 (nine years ago)

xp pass on conley, trade gasol and start building a future
