srsly, the deals this year are just the most twisted combo of crazy cap inflation and not that many quality players out on the market. im still trying to remember that the cap is ~30% higher than in years' past, but even factoring that in, some of these deals are just fucking bad. especially some of these 10mil+ deals for backups who will never be more than backups.

i've been trying to figure out what olshey (who i generally think is a really underappreciated and canny GM) was even thinking with the turner thing and i can't figure it out at all. i guess when chandler spurned them he panicked? had to spend the money somewhere. but you'd think you could get turner at like 4/50 even in this climate idk.

plumlee was so fun on the suns just a couple years ago for about two months. then lost all his confidence for whatever reason

that hawks lineup isn't any better than what they've had for the past couple years. less shooting too.

thought i heard somewhere that the clips would have to get rid of redick for KD to work

makes sense

even if the clips fill out the roster with a bunch of scrubs, cp3 and kd and daj and griffin is a scary ass team and theres a real role as a dynamic scoring threat from the wing for KD there. i'd still rather him go to LAC than GS.
