in re: even turner at $17m per, the only thing I can think of is that olshey and stotts decided that turner was underutilized because of a bad fit with the Celtics and he would be a much better fit with the blazers. even if that turns out to be a shrewd move, they prob way overspent in order to close the deal quickly. who else was panting after turner for that kind of money?

last year on the celtics was the best hes ever played

using him as a backup point guard was a very left field choice that produced his only useful nba role ever

it shd be noted its not like he was even that good last year, his best year ever

if the hawks want to trade millsap to the celtics to keep horford, I could deal w that I guess?

and turner will be a weird fit on the blazers since they don't need more ballhandlers and he's bad off the ball.

millsap is a more prudent option given his slightly lesser age but also kinda worried about him bolting in a year if it didn't go well right away

still crazy to me that they spent $22 million in 16-17 salary on jeff green and dj augustin instead of just giving chandler parsons the max
