lag∞n, Thursday, 7 July 2016 04:38 (nine years ago)

east i think stays mostly the same, miami and atlanta will drop, detroit and orlando will move up, not sure if orlando moves up enough to make the offs tho

ciderpress, Thursday, 7 July 2016 04:38 (nine years ago)

nba for real needs to sell the pelicans to seattle

moistest hoist (Spottie), Thursday, 7 July 2016 04:39 (nine years ago)

championship or bust

moistest hoist (Spottie), Thursday, 7 July 2016 04:40 (nine years ago)

i like the magic but i thought charlotte and indiana would get worse in the offseason and they didn't really

ciderpress, Thursday, 7 July 2016 04:45 (nine years ago)

the theory still stands though

ciderpress, Thursday, 7 July 2016 04:46 (nine years ago)

Heat fans are going to be absolutely floored by the D-Wade news when they find out midway through the first quarter of the season opener.

moistest hoist (Spottie), Thursday, 7 July 2016 04:49 (nine years ago)

moistest hoist (Spottie), Thursday, 7 July 2016 04:56 (nine years ago)

gotta say u know who im most disappointed with this offseason is lil b

lag∞n, Thursday, 7 July 2016 05:00 (nine years ago)

he's just a homer like the rest of us

moistest hoist (Spottie), Thursday, 7 July 2016 05:00 (nine years ago)

speaking of homers i know i'm prob not the the best judge in regards to this statement but yall are sleeping on budenholzer. the hawks will be better than a lot of teams in the east next yr. not that i'm proud cheering for a team that can always get home court in the 1st rnd of the east playoffs or anything but they're in pretty good hands imo

Heez, Thursday, 7 July 2016 05:08 (nine years ago)

the heat seem really intent on not gumming up any more cap space beyond this year but they could really use allen crabbe

J0rdan S., Thursday, 7 July 2016 05:14 (nine years ago)

Hawks will be solid

moistest hoist (Spottie), Thursday, 7 July 2016 05:20 (nine years ago)

im #teamdwight let's go hawks

J0rdan S., Thursday, 7 July 2016 05:21 (nine years ago)

dwight def primed for a career/personality resurrection

moistest hoist (Spottie), Thursday, 7 July 2016 05:23 (nine years ago)

just not caring abt post touches wld go so far

lag∞n, Thursday, 7 July 2016 05:27 (nine years ago)

like the pnr is easier bro get into it

lag∞n, Thursday, 7 July 2016 05:29 (nine years ago)

the year is not 1995

lag∞n, Thursday, 7 July 2016 05:29 (nine years ago)

yeah i feel like the hawks play in a way that will lead to him getting more touches organically in the offense to keep him happy (ideally at least) i.e. they have no james harden doing 64 under the leg dribbles before drawing a foul with .6 seconds on the shot clock

J0rdan S., Thursday, 7 July 2016 05:32 (nine years ago)

prob true

lag∞n, Thursday, 7 July 2016 05:37 (nine years ago)

i think he and schroder could fit well together on the pnr

Heez, Thursday, 7 July 2016 05:38 (nine years ago)

I just want to see Dwight bring some of that exuberant post-victory celebrating to the Hawks.

ciderpress, Thursday, 7 July 2016 05:46 (nine years ago)

weird crew vibes otm, that suns/rox game i went to will go down as one of the weirder sporting events I'll ever witness.

balls, Thursday, 7 July 2016 13:36 (nine years ago)

kent bazemore has a full page ad in the paper saying he stayed in atlanta because of the fans and yes corny but after the way horford kicked us on his way out the door it managed to make me mist up tbh. have now managed to talk myself into 'i'd rather have dwight for 3 yrs than al for 5' plus the usual 'we can coach him up' kool-aid.

While you're watching Kelly Ripa, one more nugget: Pat Riley never called Dwyane Wade during the entire process.

if i had to predict the west today its like GSW SAS LAC MEM UTA OKC POR NOP those last 2 slots could just as easily be the rockets or mavs tho idk

― ciderpress, Thursday, July 7, 2016 12:26 AM (9 hours ago) Bookmark Flag Post Permalink

could seriously see clippers as high as 2, grizz as high as 2 if everyone's healthy (as low as 8 if everyone collapses), would switch utah and PDX...

rn am predicting GSW, SA, LAC, MEM, PDX, UTA, HOU, OKC.

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Thursday, 7 July 2016 13:57 (nine years ago)

i was really skeptical that the grizz were gonna make it another year but they played so well before the injuries last season and parsons is an upgrade so idk

heat aren't a playoff team without wade and bosh are they

ciderpress, Thursday, 7 July 2016 14:03 (nine years ago)

i think ziller is correct that riles is putting on a show http://www.sbnation.com/2016/7/7/12116312/dwyane-wade-miami-heat-leaves-pat-riley-future

J0rdan S., Thursday, 7 July 2016 14:06 (nine years ago)

based on the events as reported i think its clear riley wasn't interested in keeping wade

ciderpress, Thursday, 7 July 2016 14:09 (nine years ago)

the heat are like one bad summer away from becoming the knicks tbqh. all it takes is riles striking out on the big targets in next year's free agency, which is entirely in play

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine
Detroit is signing Spurs restricted free agent Boban Marjanovic to a three-year, $21 million offer sheet, according to league sources

lag∞n, Thursday, 7 July 2016 14:45 (nine years ago)

that seems unnecessary

this may be true but the heat are a far better run organization than the knicks, which i think is an important distinction. they're def playing a dangerous game but the knicks under dolan have made dozens of deeply harmful decisions the heat would never make.

i think a better approximation for the heat's future is ptob the mavs, in terms of having enough of an organizational foundation to string along competitive seasons w/o getting anywhere close to winning.
