i have something to say about the offseason THE 2016 NBA OFFSEASON

naw rondo is way better

tony snell has some utility but the bulls won't let that stop them from acquiring every guard who can't shoot.

Hard to know how good rondo is any more since all he's done since his knee injury is stat hunt on mediocre/bad teams, but their 2016 per 36 #s were pretty similar outside of assists.

Had no idea rondo shot 36.5% from 3 tho, that's pretty remarkable for someone who can't shoot.

I thought i posted about it but guess not. So within that first paragraph they reveal that he lives within a quarter mile from where I live. That IronWorks bar/restaurant is down the street from me and the neighborhood he has a home in just across the block. Was really weird and surreal to see those pics and read that cos I've eaten the all you can eat fish fry and done the karaoke there a handful of times. I want to meet him now, shake his hand.

watching some preseason basketball here and getting the impression the nets wont be too great

xp the cracks continue to appear

javale, in theory, is what they warriors need

i listened to nine nba podcast episodes in the past 24 hours

i also watched bucks pistons for everyone. pistons shot 50% from 3, came back from a 17 point deficit, and kcp scored 23. this is a playoff team even without reggie for 20+ regular season games.

fantasy draft was last night, got cp3 and giannis, feeling pretty good abt my team, stoked for the madness.

xp it's not optimal to depend on kcp and marcus morris for yr 3-point shooting but the latter is fairly solid, got pretty hot in the playoffs

also reminded me that except for one of the games the entire detroit-cavs series was all close games, particularly the last one

i'm kinda excited to give a damn about the nba!

i would be absolutely shocked if it was true. spurs are denying it, of course

maybe this is because i've listened to/read a million nba previews in the past 2 weeks and i'm apparently the only person in america concerned about the spurs backcourt, but i could see this happening if they could pry away a dynamic young guard from somebody.

theyre woefully short on big men, that shit aint hatnin

tony is just as slow as he was last year and they won 67 games last year

their backcourt is def worth worrying about imo, theyre 2nd tier this year unless they upgrade, but w/e everyone else is waiting around for a warriors injury too so same dif

i mean everyone except GS is 2nd tier this year. spurs will be 3rd seed in the west at minimum. dejounte murray could be a PG for the future in a few years. he's got the raw skills, and the spurs have a pretty good track record of developing late 1st rounders into legit players.

hmm idk shd we worried that theyre entering "the curse of tim duncan" era of the franchise tho

are there spurs fans who agitate for patty to start ahead of tony i wonder

there were some in the playoffs, but its never been a serious "movement"

there were def the nba2k playing teens that are like "we should trade tony to get russ/cp3/whatever"

the switch from teague/horford to schroder/dwight at the 1 and 5 is really gonna take the hawks d to the next level

horford is probably a better defender than dwight too

nah schroder is a great defender. dwight mostly gives us consistent rebounding which has killed them recently. so many 2nd chances after playing solid d.

don't get me wrong teague and horford were very good defenders but schoder and dwight are gonna take it up a notch

i'm getting real fired up about the hawks d as they play against the pelicans bench

i feel like they m/l made lateral moves, which may work out since they needed to shake things up anyway. see if schroeder can outperform what teague brought and see if dwight can actually care again

celtics gon be good this year friends theyre playing kinda insane levels of team ball in preseason

actually the celtics will be bad
