i listened to nine nba podcast episodes in the past 24 hours
― Allen (etaeoe), Tuesday, 18 October 2016 12:07 (seven years ago) link
i also watched bucks pistons for everyone. pistons shot 50% from 3, came back from a 17 point deficit, and kcp scored 23. this is a playoff team even without reggie for 20+ regular season games.
― Allen (etaeoe), Tuesday, 18 October 2016 12:12 (seven years ago) link
fantasy draft was last night, got cp3 and giannis, feeling pretty good abt my team, stoked for the madness.
― circles, Tuesday, 18 October 2016 14:53 (seven years ago) link
xp it's not optimal to depend on kcp and marcus morris for yr 3-point shooting but the latter is fairly solid, got pretty hot in the playoffs
also reminded me that except for one of the games the entire detroit-cavs series was all close games, particularly the last one

i'm kinda excited to give a damn about the nba!
― the notes the loon doesn't play (ulysses), Tuesday, 18 October 2016 20:57 (seven years ago) link
lamarcus trade rumors already out there!
― call all destroyer, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 00:56 (seven years ago) link
i saw that on lowe's thing, but it seemed like idle speculation.
― 6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 19 October 2016 01:42 (seven years ago) link
jackie mac brought it up today too in a chat or something, sounded like she had a source
― call all destroyer, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 01:58 (seven years ago) link
i would be absolutely shocked if it was true. spurs are denying it, of course
― 6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 19 October 2016 02:00 (seven years ago) link
maybe this is because i've listened to/read a million nba previews in the past 2 weeks and i'm apparently the only person in america concerned about the spurs backcourt, but i could see this happening if they could pry away a dynamic young guard from somebody.
― call all destroyer, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 02:03 (seven years ago) link
theyre woefully short on big men, that shit aint hatnin
― 6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 19 October 2016 02:07 (seven years ago) link
true theres not a lot there.
― call all destroyer, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 02:22 (seven years ago) link
might be a good year for the spurs to pivot to the future tho
― Clay, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 02:25 (seven years ago) link
lma gon be real good for a while cld only see moving him in a blockbuster
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 02:37 (seven years ago) link
xp :/ spurs have prime kawhi and some young cats who could be really good, theyre fine
― 6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 19 October 2016 02:39 (seven years ago) link
guys the spurs are always going to win 60 games
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 19 October 2016 02:48 (seven years ago) link
just accept it as a part of life
and i remain the only person in america worried about the backcourt
― call all destroyer, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 02:48 (seven years ago) link
tony is just as slow as he was last year and they won 67 games last year
― 6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 19 October 2016 02:56 (seven years ago) link
their backcourt is def worth worrying about imo, theyre 2nd tier this year unless they upgrade, but w/e everyone else is waiting around for a warriors injury too so same dif
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 03:18 (seven years ago) link
i mean everyone except GS is 2nd tier this year. spurs will be 3rd seed in the west at minimum. dejounte murray could be a PG for the future in a few years. he's got the raw skills, and the spurs have a pretty good track record of developing late 1st rounders into legit players.
― 6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 19 October 2016 03:23 (seven years ago) link
hmm idk shd we worried that theyre entering "the curse of tim duncan" era of the franchise tho
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 03:27 (seven years ago) link
are there spurs fans who agitate for patty to start ahead of tony i wonder
― Clay, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 03:30 (seven years ago) link
there were some in the playoffs, but its never been a serious "movement"
― 6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 19 October 2016 03:54 (seven years ago) link
there were def the nba2k playing teens that are like "we should trade tony to get russ/cp3/whatever"
― 6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 19 October 2016 03:55 (seven years ago) link
the switch from teague/horford to schroder/dwight at the 1 and 5 is really gonna take the hawks d to the next level
― Heez, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 04:17 (seven years ago) link
schro is a good defender?
― Spottie, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 04:22 (seven years ago) link
horford is probably a better defender than dwight too
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 19 October 2016 04:26 (seven years ago) link
nah schroder is a great defender. dwight mostly gives us consistent rebounding which has killed them recently. so many 2nd chances after playing solid d.
― Heez, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 04:35 (seven years ago) link
don't get me wrong teague and horford were very good defenders but schoder and dwight are gonna take it up a notch
― Heez, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 04:38 (seven years ago) link
i'm getting real fired up about the hawks d as they play against the pelicans bench
― Heez, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 04:40 (seven years ago) link
i feel like they m/l made lateral moves, which may work out since they needed to shake things up anyway. see if schroeder can outperform what teague brought and see if dwight can actually care again
― Spottie, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 04:56 (seven years ago) link
celtics gon be good this year friends theyre playing kinda insane levels of team ball in preseason
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 05:42 (seven years ago) link
actually the celtics will be bad
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 19 October 2016 05:43 (seven years ago) link
hmm hold on let me double check
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 05:44 (seven years ago) link
they gonna be good
celts proba gonna make the jump from tier 4 to tier 3
― Spottie, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 05:49 (seven years ago) link
brad stevens will be arrested for underage drinking and the celtics will fall apart in his absence
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 19 October 2016 05:50 (seven years ago) link
Kurt Helin @basketballtalk 1m1 minute agoSteve Kerr says JaVale McGee likely to get Warriors final roster spot
This is either crazy dumb or genius, most likely dumb
― gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Wednesday, 19 October 2016 15:47 (seven years ago) link
However I could 100% believe that they will keep him just to give press something to ask about besides Durant and 3-1
― gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Wednesday, 19 October 2016 15:48 (seven years ago) link
Every time I see the bulls roster I just involuntarily shudder a little
― gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Wednesday, 19 October 2016 15:50 (seven years ago) link
it's gonna be ugly. they might be worse than the knicks this year?

"The guys might be frustrated by his antics, but they had an opportunity to prove themselves without him in Game 5 and they played like a bunch of [cowards]."
lol
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 16:44 (seven years ago) link
it is good gossip but also good in other ways
― Spottie, Wednesday, 19 October 2016 16:45 (seven years ago) link
ha how did i miss this
When it's his turn to address the crowd, Green, victory cap slightly askew, shambles across the podium, snatches the mic and declares that he's excited to be speaking. Golden State PR maestro Raymond Ridder, Green explains, "tried not to let me talk today. He know I'm gonna get controversial."
And then he proceeds to validate most all of Ridder's fears: "With these guys, everything's fun. The only time it's not fun is practice ... film ... games ... bus rides. I'm the only person that gets talked about what shots I take and all those things by Steve Kerr. Like, every time I take a shot, he complains. So that's why, if you see, every time I make a shot, I look at him. Dude complain every time I take a shot."
From his seat on the stage behind Green, Kerr shrugs and loudly counters: "Twenty-four percent!" Which just happens to be Green's 3-point shooting percentage during the final three rounds of the playoffs.

that story is great! the gossip is good but i mean insofar as it relates to the power structures w/in the franchise
