yep. Very intrigued by the Brown for Turner idea. Seems like Turner almost is what he is at this point, while Brown still growing into something, but what Turner is is pretty good and we need it. Just listened to Windy on Lowe's podcast yesterday though and both see Pacers as committed to making Sabonis/Turner work, for reasons unknown.

hard to come away from that article w/ any feeling beyond, damn danny ainge really screwed it up

if i'm assigning blame i feel that way more about stevens than ainge. i'm not really sure what ainge was supposed to do?

i think stevens is doing the honorable thing by trying to absorb the blame but if a coach is publicly saying "the pieces didn't fit" that means to me it falls squarely on the GM

the one thing i will give both stevens & ainge a pass on is the gordon hayward stuff.... the players should've understood that minutes needed to be invested in hayward simply so that he could get used to playing in the NBA again and that this year in all likelihood was going to be a struggle for him

yeah to me the biggest controllable thing that just didn't work was the handling of hayward. i don't know who to blame for that tbh. if they did a consolidation trade to get guys more shots or whatever hayward would still have been there playing like shit.

they thought they had a switchable monster with 4 two-way wings and if everyone played reasonably well that would have been correct.

he's a straight up baller. i don't know if he's going to play in the nba but he's going to get buckets somewhere for the next dozen years.

hes a gunner, i have no idea if hell be able to do it at a high level in the nba but the kid is srsly not joking abt getting buckets

yeah if youre a second year guy and you dont look like youre kinda too good to be playing in summer league yr ceiling is prob the bench, if youre third year like yabu and you look awful yr done man rip
