i think those numbers go up in a higher usage situation like indiana where he'd be the #1 wing as opposed to the #3. and that $34M is a lot, but it's also off the books in one year.

well if indiana were doing this they'd have to be getting a sense of what gordon's extension will be, obviously he's in no position to stay at $34M but my guess is it would be 3 years north of 20 which is a little scary imo.

i'll just put my bias out there, hayward's celtics career was insanely snakebit but i have watched him play basketball for the past two seasons and i don't expect him to be all that good going forward.

but i mean he is an easy 20-5-5 on high percentages and is good at basically all basketball skills

hes also a willing team player and so forth

health has been bad and hes overpaid, tho prob wont be on his next contract

hes a clear second option on offense who is also a very good playmaker, kind of guy who can fit in anywhere, positionally flexible etc

nice platitudes but they dont add up to 34M

ill take the 34M instead then if you won't give it to him

didn't know his agent was bartelstein. if anyone can find a better deal for gordo than 1/34M, he can.

listened to that pod they said something that i hadn't really thought about that 34M next year isn't really worth that much, a lot of it will be in escrow and probably won't get paid out due to revenue crunch, whereas a longer contract that pays out money 2 or 3 years from now is a lot more likely to be worth the stated value.
