I would be very skeptical of Horford being able to play the 4.

yeah i dont think they will start horford and rob both

i think they might, defense at the 4 will def be an issue but having horfs shooting and playmaking in that lineup makes a lot of sense, also allows fire & ice to shift down a position to where they have size advantages, tho even if they do that theyll prob still finish games w a small lineup

i think they'll likely mix it up with speed units and height; rob/horf would be good pace-breaking for a team about to get on a roll

nesmith looks like hes adjusting to the speed of the nba after playing on heels last year, pritchard romeo and grant all looking more comfortable out there in the preseason fwiw

pritchard obvs had a great rookie year but now hes just bombing 30 footers without hesitation and has been aggressive making plays too, dont want to read too much into the preseason but the celtics bench could be actually good this year, should at the very least be better than last seasons dumpster fire

pritchard looks great in every clip i've seen. reports from summer league saying he was in that clear tier of players who didn't need to be there were very exciting.

hes not actually that scrappy idk, going to be hard for anyone to break into the fan fave game with marcus around, you know who is actually extremely scrappy tho is nesmith

i mean i like pritchard a lot but hes a shooter with a pretty low key demeanor

he's apparently a super hard worker but it's all skills focused, like he's not a tj mcconnell diving on loose balls to make a living type of guy

in conclusion i think he has a chance to find a place in celtics fans hearts but i cant see him being really a favorite unless maybe he starts hitting a shitload of threes and getting steals or something, if he maxes out his ceiling there could be something there

horf out with covid but based on this lineup seems like hell prob be starting next to rob when he returns

some of that is prob political not sure how much time theyll actually run two big lineups but i do like the idea of them having smart-jaylen-jayson at the 1-2-3 thats a lot of size and strength for other teams to deal with on the perimeter

seems like udoka will be running a pretty different offense than brad good piece in the athletic today about how theyll be running more of the offense through tatum try to get him the ball closer to the basket and let him make reads from there, does seem like hes ready to be more of a bruiser
