i read that article and not entirely convinced by it. kind of wild how things change. just a few months ago the celtics had the best D in the league and everybody's screaming for a point guard

yeah shot location is meaningful but you still have to actually play good defense, the thing thats really killing the celtics now is rebounding tho

theyre playing small and dont have enough quality bigs

getting rob back would help but considering his iffiness als age and so forth they really need another guy, i would like to see them go back to the two big lineup tbqh

might be waiting til gallos contract is tradable in december to move it and a second or something for a normal backup center, they could also move white + something for a better player, or try to get a minimum/gleague guy for nothing i guess

either way having kornet/vonleh/blake getting big minutes just isnt tenable, and if al misses time it could result in major losses

lol that is about as controversial as al gets

only caught the last 10 minutes or so but tatum's effort level was completely insane--crashing for offensive rebounds, really scrapping inside whenever he got a chance. 20 free throws is something else.

the biggest positive for me was the paint points - the bulls shellacked boston in the earlier game down low.

tatum, brown and smart still trying to make fetch happen through traffic, still too much jawing from grant, still too many meek contests on the perimeter. they get torched by guys like garland and derozan who curl off screens to find a little space. i guess last year they would have just switched on to them?

much will be made of the 3 point percentage tonight but other than tatum's isos, basically all the threes they took were easy open shots. they finally clamped down on the knicks in the 4th--the knicks have some good offensive players but schemewise they're pretty easy to know how to guard.

we all knew brogdon was a good fit on paper, but seeing his game in detail it's really so perfect for what they need.

yeah knicks had no interest in guarding the line just wide open look after wide open look, celtics defense has been pretty bad but i will hold my judgement until they get their big man rotation in order

many informed people are speculating that rob is on track to be back sometime in december, the man himself who traveled with the team to new york was quoted as saying hes been doing "almost everything"

update they have continued to hit 3s, and all the other shots

they should try 4s for a real edge

why stop there no one knows what the upper bounds of points you can get for a shot is

judging by this data they should play hauser more
