they smoked dallas. they did this to houston. they beat the bucks by 20 on christmas.

idk it's a long season? their offense was never going to continue the way it was.

theyve been coasting tho not playing great

it is the mid season doldrums for sure but i do think it would be better to play better

personally I try not to do judgements in the spirit of the new year

tbf the energy had already shifted at that point

if this is the nadir of this season thats pretty good given they have the best record in the league

if this is the nadir thats fine, if this is the new normal then they wont have the best record for long

i do think theyll play better they have too much talent to keep being the +2.2 team theyve been over the last 15, but how much better will they play, idk will have to watch the games to see

at what point does the poor d become a coaching problem? this team was elite last year even without rob

they were not elite at this point last year

playing smaller lineups is def taking its toll on the d, al clearly not moving as well as last year either

they’re 10th in defensive rating at the moment and can certainly get higher, no elite defenses this year so far

however they have been playing good d for a while now (3rd best def rating since dec 1st) and if they wanted to go with a big lineup they cld prob play about as good as last year, do think they should pick up another center tho

made a nice pass to rob out of the spain pick and roll too oriented his body so it looked like he was gonna hit jaylen in the corner then waited a beat and hit rob on the late roll wide open in the lane

one of the weird things about this season is the jays are shooting 3s bad

grant doesnt want to shoot anymore he just wants to drive hes a driving man now

celtics played kinda ok as per recent, nice to have rob out there tho

tatum had a good game too love when he plays with balance like that getting his looks lots of different ways

jaylen 0-8 from three yikes hes down to 32% for the season, everything else is working tho hes at 49% overall which means hes at 63%! from two, hopefully hell start hitting those 3s at some point

one of the weirder effective shooting forms, seems like maybe it came from being a stickler for the fully one handed shot, which is silly almost everyone thumbs at least a lil bit

reminds me of shooting lessons in basketball camp when i was a kid

just an insanely wrong headed fundamental thats contradicted by how everyone actually plays basketball lol
