On defense, Gordon can guard all five positions. His pinpoint rotations and shot-blocking are essential in Denver's demanding scheme.

poor guy, there are lots of trade rumors about him and that’s got to be tough on a second year player. KCP said yesterday or the day before that it really affected him earlier in his career. that said I think the nuggets should definitely look to move him if the right offer comes along, though I doubt it will

not sure he's shown enough to net much in return. seems like useful player to have on your roster but if hes checked out and feels disrespected then not what can you do

pretty sick highlight reel on your first game back

gutted out a win vs the hollowed out grizzlies tonight. this team needs the all star break so badly. the defense has been abysmal whenever gordon has been out, which is probably another month at least, and now peyton watson is out for a month too. jokic is back and is putting up what seem like his usual numbers but his timing is completely off. he had 9 turnovers today and has averaged 5.2 a game since coming back. his touch in the paint is also completely off.

thankfully they're getting decent performances from the role players but this team hasn't been whole for 3 months now and they really need to be to have any shot to advance in the west

jokic looks truly horrific (by his standards) and has since he’s come back. he needs some time off but I doubt he’ll get it

pretty depressing loss to the knicks last night, 39 points is the worst home loss in franchise history, though it was the second night of a back to back

nuggets had their opening night starting 5 of murray, braun, cam johnson, AG, and jokic for the first time since november 12. the starters did play really well together, they were either +5 in 7 minutes or +7 in 5 minutes, I can’t remember which. some of the decisions from adelman and the training staff continue to baffle me. I understand why they wanted to get all their guys out there, and they probably would have gotten fined if they sat murray (I think the kronekes can afford it tho), but I don’t think he’s sat a single game of a back to back this year, which is crazy to me considering his injury history. he of course rolled his ankle on a freak play, FML. he walked off under his own power so hopefully he’s not out long.

this is also the second time that AG has played backup 5 in the first game he’s come back from injury, which is something they used to only do in really important spots. don’t really understand why they went to it in this game either considering how well the knicks offensive rebound, and of course mitchell robinson and josh hart had a bunch of them. valanciunas played 2 minutes. baffling

they basically waved the white flag once murray got hurt. just one of those nights. team shot 8/40 on threes. jokic did look great, was 13/14 from inside the arc and had 38 points in 31 minutes. everyone else basically sucked

theyre gonna play the spurs three times in pretty short order here, interested to see if denver is back up to playoff speed by then
