dubs did pretty good going small in the finals but wiggins was a beast on the glass then and last night looked disengaged a bit. also had otto who is an extremely good small ball rebounder

its kinda funny the celtics have four very good guards but their best lineups are big, theres an imbalance there, think theyll prob try to add another big man cause starting horf and rob together either leaves you forced to go small some of the time or play kornet big minutes, add someone better who can play center and youve fixed the least flexible part of the lineup, and of course al and rob are known to miss games, then the only spot youre really not deep at is the wing but thats more acceptable since the jays will play big minutes in the offs

guess jb is a guard and a wing in that formulation but you know what i mean its complicated business

healthy rob this time around too

xp its tough to put the perfect roster together in 2023! every team is missing... something

it is hard but still i think the celtics should construct the perfect roster

robs so good at getting in the mix for rebounds outside his zone, even if he doesnt get them he gets tons of tips keeps balls alive creates chaos and paranoia

the celtics big man thing is interesting, i would like them to find another guy but it's pure injury insurance for al/rob so how much do you invest in that? i guess they're not going to be any closer to a title than they are now.

if they got someone good like just for instance purtle or nance jr it would be more than insurance they could be in the rotation and then youre planning for a post or diminished horf future too, tho they could also just get someone cheap like plumdawg which would be more for the regular season and then some playoff spot minutes

purtle isnt ideal since hes a pure center and rob is too and hes on an expiring and will want a dece contract which is something you dont really want to give a backup center but something like gallo pritchard a first and a second to a third team to take gallo since you cant trade him to the spurs kind of makes sense

idk tho maybe plumdawg instead

thing is its hard to put something together without including gallo and if you do youd rather it be for a actual good player since its kinda shitty to unload an injured free agent who took a discount to sign with you
