i will never be scared of the knicks

they should absolutely beat all of them and i think getting home court in ecf trumps all but im honestly not sure who id want to play in round 2 theyre all worrying to some degree

the celtics should be a bad matchup for the cavs, i have no idea why those games have been so competitive. the knicks don’t seem to do anything in particular that should translate to being a scary playoff team.

knicks should be the weakest but theyre very physical do you really want to jostle with them when youre looking to play two more series after also theyve got guys who can heat up and become problematic cavs are better but the celtics should be able to overpower them philly has embiid

well yeah i don’t really want to play any of these teams, they will all be challenging. i would say i’m more scared of mitchell heating up than anyone on the knicks

yeah mitchell is just good the knicks guys are more variable

one of the things that makes JT easy to root for is his total lack of self-consciousness

i can’t believe we have to do more celtics-heat playoff games

maybe the heat will lose to the hawks haha

yeah its not a done deal unless you think the heat are drastically better than the other play-in teams

as it stands now they would be playing the hawks who theyve absolutely owned fwiw

yeah i mean anything can happen in a one game playoff esp w/ trae there but they've been ruining his life for like 2 years running now. that said the coaching match up is more even than in previous iterations of this match up so we'll see

i would prefer the celtics to not play the heat

eddie house missed almost the whole third quarter then we he got back he was like no im going to tell you what happened and the story was he was eating pizza with a lady who works for the raptors

he really should be getting minutes but the celtics have too many guys

nice that they let him cook in this one, he's been a good soldier and deserves minutes somewhere

i'm watching the replay of this game and it's hilarious, the pritchard/hauser/kornet/muscala/davison group has so many good intentions for unselfish cutting and off-ball movement but they've never actually played together so they're throwing the ball all over the place

When he actually decides to score or shoot he isn't bad

the shooting is iffy but he def should be much more aggressive around the basket he kicks it out when he has good looks so much

i think at least some of it is a product of him never being in rhythm with regular playing time, if he were out there more he'd build up the feel for when to score vs. pass

he also just does hot potato pass a lot in like every situation actually throws the ball away a bunch when guys just arent ready quick passing is generally nice but could use tempering with a lil more feel for the rhythm of the game

yeah definitely, another thing i think would improve a lot if he could play more

Brown was a tougher choice. Advanced metrics have never loved him for a combination of reasons -- shaky playmaking, blah rebounding, hazy off-ball defense, and that Boston's scoring margin typically declines when Brown plays without Tatum.

But 27 points, 7 boards, 3.5 dimes, 58% shooting on 2s, and very good on-ball defense against any type of perimeter scorer -- that's All-NBA quality, as much as anything Siakam, Randle, and Markkanen did. Brown was durable, and his team is in a different stratosphere than the Raptors, Knicks, and Jazz. He (barely) gets the nod.
