How short is Mazzulla's leash going to be next year?

i don’t think they operate that way, i think this is genuinely about rebuilding the staff and supporting his development as HC, but it is true that it is a results-based business.

i dont really have any idea whats going on there havent seen anything reported, celitcs org is generally pretty measured and they just gave him a contract mid season so id think things would have to be pretty bad for him to be let go, but maybe they are bad idk

his bench was pretty thin with will hardy getting hired away in the offseason then stodimaire doing the same towards then end of the season so they do need good assistants, i wouldnt necessarily see it as an insurance policy if they need to fire him, but it could be

im not as down on him as a lot of people i like the way the celtics played this year thought they were prob a lil better than last years team, and mazzulla was put in a really tough spot with how/when ime went out

tbf celtics did underperform throughout the playoffs tho

not sold on mazzulla at all but hiring good assistants to help him out seems better than upending everything again during a contending window
