i do think dames list of preferred teams increasing is the most likely outcome tho

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 17:49 (two years ago)

yeah you can’t say trade me to this one place it’s not really tenable you gotta create a market look I went to college

Clay, Saturday, 1 July 2023 17:50 (two years ago)

thats just economy 101

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 17:51 (two years ago)

for the record i dont really want the celtics to get him also i didnt want zinger, but if theyre really good i would be persuadable, but not if theyre not good

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 17:53 (two years ago)

part of the leverage teams typically have is just being like “we’re not trading you” i.e. what happened w/ KD last summer but i don’t think that is in play here, it doesn’t even make sense for portland they need to turn the page & hand the team over to their young guys. so they can try & create a market by pitting teams against each other but as we saw w/ KD last summer when ppl were like “he could go to memphis! he could go to new orleans!” … that’s just not how these things go. it’s gonna be miami, brooklyn, clippers, philly maybe… we know the suspects here. i think portland will end up getting a nice deal but they’re going to be operating in a fake & not very advantageous market

J0rdan S., Saturday, 1 July 2023 17:57 (two years ago)

i mean the nets got an insane package for kd

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 17:57 (two years ago)

yeah but that’s bcuz they had the option of bringing him back, i don’t think that’s happening here

J0rdan S., Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:01 (two years ago)

if theyre serious about playing the market not doing him a solid theyre going to get s huge deal

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:05 (two years ago)

nets have seven firsts they can trade

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:05 (two years ago)

they’ve got all summer to get this done too it’s not like he requested a trade the week before the deadline

Clay, Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:08 (two years ago)

fwiw i dont think bringing back kd was more of an option for the nets, the situations were pretty similarly dead end, nor do i think it matters that much youre just taking one team out of 30 out of the bidding

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:11 (two years ago)

idk i think there’s lot of differences but i guess we’ll see how it plays out

J0rdan S., Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:16 (two years ago)

if the blazers get a fistful of 1st round picks and at least one good player from the nets in exchange for dame, then bless you phx suns

more difficult than I look (Aimless), Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:21 (two years ago)

think its more likely itd be an all picks plus filler (simmons) deal with the nets cause they really need to keep their guys in order to make trading for dame worthwhile

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:24 (two years ago)

if they get simmo then life is going to get weird in pdx, which is ok I guess, for the messy drama aspect.

more difficult than I look (Aimless), Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:27 (two years ago)

they could just buy him out but theyd prob give him a shot at least

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:30 (two years ago)

not sure this deal would work since grant is a rfa but something like this

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:30 (two years ago)

trade machine listed grant as ufa

more difficult than I look (Aimless), Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:35 (two years ago)

this is actually the most dame mentality destination if hes really serious about that stuff

Breaking news: free agent guard Patrick Beverley is signing with the Philadelphia 76ers.

big news

k3vin k., Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:41 (two years ago)

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:41 (two years ago)

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:41 (two years ago)

the blazers have deep scars from the jail blazer era that would never let them trade dame for ja

more difficult than I look (Aimless), Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:41 (two years ago)

yeah prob true, good opportunity to buy low tho

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:42 (two years ago)

if the pellies offer that much its a steal and they should make the deal at once. if zion is playable, he can still be a huge force. if he's cooked he can apply for an injury retirement and open a ton of cap space.

more difficult than I look (Aimless), Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:48 (two years ago)

not sure why the blazers would want ja and mini-ja on the same team tho

k3vin k., Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:49 (two years ago)

reflecting upon it its pretty funny that dame is trying to play off going to a team that just made the finals with jimmy and bam thats in a top 2 desirable nba city as not a superteam

RFA Austin Reaves has agreed to return to the Los Angeles Lakers on a four-year, $56 million Early Bird maximum contract, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Agents Aaron Reilly and Reggie Berry of AMR Agency negotiated the new deal to keep Reaves in L.A. long term.

Fair deal

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 19:05 (two years ago)

yeah solid, kinda scary the lakers making all these good small moves over the last six months

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 19:13 (two years ago)

rly mad no one threw a big offer at him, thats a very very good deal for the lakers.

slai gorgeous-alexander (m bison), Saturday, 1 July 2023 19:20 (two years ago)

That team is looking good sadly

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 20:00 (two years ago)

yeah lakers should be back in the mix if flawed again, still relying a lot on a 38-year-old (what the fuck man) bron, but this iteration of the team seemed to mesh well quickly

slai gorgeous-alexander (m bison), Saturday, 1 July 2023 20:17 (two years ago)

Basically kept all the main rotation guys and added taurean and Vincent

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 20:30 (two years ago)

and jaxson hayes (derogatory)

slai gorgeous-alexander (m bison), Saturday, 1 July 2023 20:31 (two years ago)

They do need a brow injury contingency plan for sure

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 20:38 (two years ago)

Front offices talking to Portland today were left with impression that GM Joe Cronin is pursuing a star-level return package for Damian Lillard – and that Cronin plans to look well beyond the Miami Heat to find one. https://t.co/9NWtJN9JLm

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:26 (two years ago)

5/260 lamelo extension. Maybe he should probably play idk just a thought

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:27 (two years ago)

im still a lamelo believer but yeah playing is essential

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:30 (two years ago)

Rockets continue to add 40% chuckers.

Poor sengun gonna have no room to work

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:32 (two years ago)

Like who were they bidding against in these deals

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:33 (two years ago)

they needed to sign someone to hit the salary floor but why give dillion brooks a 4 year deal hes not good

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:34 (two years ago)

2/40 if you have to.

Russ 2/8 clippers he musta really wanted to stay

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:41 (two years ago)

brooks deal structured as descending which is good i guess

call all destroyer, Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:42 (two years ago)

russ prob smart just to stay where its going well for him at this point

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 23:04 (two years ago)

Yah home town too. Prob wants to finish up there

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 23:13 (two years ago)

bron's probably going to enjoy embarrassing the rockets this season
