yeah for guys of his size and skill level it's a good way to conserve some energy while also being dangerous to score, pass, or get fouled. i think the thing where you start outside the arc and either do a suicide drive at the basket or shoot a 3 has diminishing returns over time.

end of this celtics blowout scal and the new guy are talking about how pritchard hires guys in the offseason to play defense against him and scal gets kind of offended that he didnt call him and starts talking about how he has these arm pads that he wears when he training guys and then he talks about the arm pads a bunch apparently theyre quite robust "theyre great" he says

the the combo of his height and quick release is pretty crazy

btw celtics played zinger and kornet together for a bit last night, i believe those are two of the top five tallest guys in the league, serious twin towers sitch

was sadly occupied last night and just watched the game. zinger looked great obv, super excited. if he can stay healthy it's gonna be interesting to see how jaylen's role changes. you'd like to think he can cut down on the bad decision-making/trying to do too much stuff if he can be the #3 guy. jrue, i know he'll have plenty of better offensive games but every time he clanked one couldn't help but miss marcus' absurdly overconfident, 'too eager to take the shot' bad offense, which is more fun to get emotionally invested in than jrue's unselfish, 'don't want to take the shot' bad offense.

offense looked pretty bad obvs will improve as the guys get to know each other how much it improves we will see sky should be the limit tho, defense looked pretty nice even considering the new guys adjustment period theres really no excuse for them to not be the top d this year imo

dont think theres another team that can throw out a lineup of all shooters all ballhandlers all plus defenders

even if you throw out the defense clause its pretty rare

like maybe devner can run a viable lineup of guys who can shoot a three and at least attack a closeout
