watching the celtics start wildly different lineups every night is kind of fascinating, the jays at guard tonight lol

that was one ugly half of basketball. but damn that run of pritchard drives in the 3rd quarter was nice.

celtics have been playing with fire recently resting half their guys and also not playing d, finally got burned

they can afford to lose some games right now and i'm fine with a little bit of rest, but they're still putting tatum out there for 39 minutes and brown for 37. in a loss. to the hawks. those are the kind of minutes that can come back to haunt you. and tatum was definitely not helping in those last few mins.

yeah i dont mind them resting and losing games cause of it but its better if its more normal

according to bobby marks it saves them money next year cause jrue declined his larger player option, i think he was saying it keeps them out of the second apron but it was unclear

i don’t think it gets them out on its own but gives them more of a path to getting out than before

White has two years remaining on the four-year, $70 million extension he signed with the Spurs in 2020. He’s due to earn $18.4 million this season and then $19.6 million in 2024-25. Under the new rules of the collective bargaining agreement, White can extend for three years at 140% of his 2024-25 salary, so a deal would look like something around three years, $85 million that would begin in 2025-26.

this is a year out of date but sounds like white could extend for ~$28m around the same money jrue got, which seems pretty good for him hes obvs a very good and valued player but im not sure whos maxing him out, tho he could play out the last year of his deal and get more from the celtics, or effectively force a trade to a team thats willing to give him more if the celtics arent, hope they just extend him asap that would be nice
