There's definitely some interesting data in that poll, I've been meaning to bring it to ilh. Thing that jumped out to me the most is how insanely Giannis' stock has plummeted. One measly vote for best defender, distant 5th (behind Tatum) for MVP, and a massive fall from being the runaway 52% winner last year of "who would you start a roster with" to just a single vote for that as well. Other things, the players seem to love Adam Silver, they still hate Rudy Gobert, and Thibs' reputation as grueling precedes him so strongly that it's gotta influence signing players.

it’s wild bcuz i think SVG is easily the best in game analyst now on either network now, he’s as good as his brother at quickly calling out strategy stuff but w/ fewer of the antics. but then their main broadcast team goes entirely in the other direction in having zero ppl who can explain what is happening on screen

celtics fans were very mad at stan that last series idk what he got up to i watched the local broadcast

they should have the local guys do all the playoffs idk why its just the first round, mb its cause some people dont get nbatv

iirc the celtics were killing the heat but he was unimpressed by the celtics defense and thought the heat were missing easy shots

imo stan's bias crossed a line throughout that series, nitpicking whatever the c's were doing run and praising the heat for hanging in when they were down 20 yes. hate to say but it soured me on him and while he is definitely one of the best in-game analysts in the national rotation in terms of the level of insight but i find him pretty joyless. hard to say why but his brother's misanthropy is endearing, and stan's is grating. makybe because jeff leans into and embraces it. i'm at the point that i would certainly take redick over him, and doris (though she also gets stuck on personal bugaboos). hope i never get to the level of preferring reggie tho lol
