The fact that they have been consistently good or great for like twenty years is pretty crazy. Only a few quick dips into the lottery. They're well positioned to win another chip next year despite an incredibly punitive cap environment.

great breakdown from this guy as usual, one thing that's interesting is when dallas tries to switch a lesser defender onto luka the primary defender is always fighting through the screen and getting back into position. i was thinking about how much time that can take, the interesting part is that luka's preference to play super deliberately affords the defender that time. no one will ever call luka explosive but i wonder what it would look like if he went into those actions a little more aggressively.

yeah good point luka sometimes even lets guys catch up after he beats them which i do not understand

here's da scoop on derrick white:
--he was barely recruited as a high school player bc he was small for a hooper (6'), but he did end up playing for a division II college near where he grew up (he grew up in suburban denver, went to colorado springs about an hour away). then he had a major growth spurt and grew five inches in height. he would transfer to u of colorado - boulder which is a division I team and has produced a few nba players.
--his dad richard grew up in boston as a lad, so derrick was raised as a red sox fan.

fun fact: i used to have a hoops-only twitter burner and derrick white's dad used to follow me, hes a poster to the core

baylor scheierman old shooter with good size weirdly good rebounder some dece passing seems like a gamer will prob be a pure shooter in the pros he can really shoot the shots off the dribble off movement from nba range its what you like to see not sure about his defense he looks pretty strong so at least theres that seems like a good guy to take a "shot" on haha

celtics might be looking towards replacing hauser since he has one year left on his minimum deal and will no doubt get a raise on his next one
