thats really the thing about this draft, the lack of anyone who reads as a #1 scorer on a team. i think there are a lot of guys like risacher and sheppard that look like high-level complementary players, clingan is being billed as a gobert/kessler type big. sarr seemingly has the most upside but he'll need to go to a team that can really develop him (he wont)

id feel fine about that contract if i were the raptors its not a "slam dunk" but scottie has been pretty dang good

it seems to me like a lot of teams in this draft value the certainty of clingan including atlanta, except atlanta is the only team that would have to take him first overall

it seems like once all the mega stars do their new extensions the scottie barnes type deals of the world will look properly slotted in again, even if the numbers are outsized

he had a super in depth off court system in brooklyn where players had personalized plans drawn up for their treatment conditioning diet etc all based on the latest thinking, seemed pretty smart, kd and kyrie were not feeling it tho
