So who needs a rim protector named Capela or a 3D guy named Hunter? Capela’s on the last year of his contract btw

Heez, Thursday, 27 June 2024 23:54 (one week ago) link

Wow just found out Lebron James is sleeping with his teammates’ mom. Class act.

lag∞n, Friday, 28 June 2024 00:01 (one week ago) link

lmao

reading kevin pelton trade grades and he notes that the wolves can’t trade a first round pick until draft night 2026

slob wizard (J0rdan S.), Friday, 28 June 2024 09:33 (one week ago) link

Dallas has traded Tim Hardaway Jr. and three second-round picks to Detroit for Quentin Grimes, sources tell ESPN.

trades!

Isn't Delonte West living on the streets?

Dejounte going to NOLA?

symsymsym, Friday, 28 June 2024 23:42 (one week ago) link

Dejounte and CJ don't seem like the most compatible backcourt

symsymsym, Friday, 28 June 2024 23:43 (one week ago) link

The Pelicans are trading a 2025 first-round (via the Lakers) and a least-favorable Milwaukee/Pelicans 2027 first-round pick, Larry Nance Jr., and more, for Murray, sources tell ESPN. https://t.co/61uRnxnLFl

dece haul for atl, weird fit for nance since they have a bunch of bigs already maybe trade him

nola will prob trade ingram now, cj moves to 6th man best role for him at this stage of his career

dejounte-murphy-jones-zion-jarrett allen?

lag∞n, Friday, 28 June 2024 23:50 (one week ago) link

They took my advice to trade DD since he was never going to learn to shoot without Fred Vinson.

Jeff, Friday, 28 June 2024 23:52 (one week ago) link

feels pretty meager to me

slob wizard (J0rdan S.), Friday, 28 June 2024 23:53 (one week ago) link

wonder if the ingram trade is already done kinda weird to move their only remaining center

― slob wizard (J0rdan S.), Friday, June 28, 2024 7:53 PM (two minutes ago) bookmarkflaglink

def not as much as they gave up for him but doubt there was anything better out there hes a good player but his his inability to play off ball hurts him theres a lot of good ball dominant guards in the league, they can prob get another first for nance, three crappy firsts and a promisingish young player its ok

lag∞n, Saturday, 29 June 2024 00:00 (six days ago) link

as a spurs fan, i have to say this trade is great

polyamerie "it's more than this 1 thing" (m bison), Saturday, 29 June 2024 00:07 (six days ago) link

lol

lag∞n, Saturday, 29 June 2024 00:17 (six days ago) link

atl v much looks worse on paper, and i doubt the spurs are playoff bound, so its lookig like 2 lotto picks again except this time its in the Good Draft

polyamerie "it's more than this 1 thing" (m bison), Saturday, 29 June 2024 00:20 (six days ago) link

they should tank for cooper flagg

lag∞n, Saturday, 29 June 2024 00:21 (six days ago) link

this apparent retrenchment around trae young is weird

call all destroyer, Saturday, 29 June 2024 01:19 (six days ago) link

apparently the offers were even less for trae than what they got for dejounte, tough spot

lag∞n, Saturday, 29 June 2024 01:21 (six days ago) link

yeah i get it, tough spot. i guess hoping now that jalen/deandre/dyson/zacch becomes a good wing rotation for him?

call all destroyer, Saturday, 29 June 2024 01:29 (six days ago) link

I do not think the hawks are building around trae at this point

Heez, Saturday, 29 June 2024 04:09 (six days ago) link

do you think theyre going to trade him

lag∞n, Saturday, 29 June 2024 15:47 (six days ago) link

i think they will do neither

ciderpress, Saturday, 29 June 2024 15:50 (six days ago) link

unless the spurs want him or if the spurs can redirect trae for something they DO want, there is no way trae gets traded now. atl has no incentive to tank until 2028.

polyamerie "it's more than this 1 thing" (m bison), Saturday, 29 June 2024 15:53 (six days ago) link

lakers should be all like 'give us a discount if you want to play with your son'

mookieproof, Saturday, 29 June 2024 23:05 (six days ago) link

I'm just gonna say it...I think it's cool that the Lakers drafted Bronny. I mean, come on, it's the 55th pick, was there really anyone that much better out there? and wasn't Bronny considered a legitimate prospect before his heart issue? why are people so upset that the Lakers, a team most people fucking hate, made a bad draft choice? I don't think he'll make the team but the idea that there will be a father-son duo in the league is super neat and I think it's nice that LeBron really wants that to be part of his legacy

frogbs, Saturday, 29 June 2024 23:51 (six days ago) link

I just want to be a dick about it and I'm not going to examine my motives

that's your god given right as a hoops fan. we can all hate the Lakers in whichever way we choose

frogbs, Sunday, 30 June 2024 00:09 (five days ago) link

i think it's weird of bron to put the world's biggest spotlight on his son who isn't at all ready for the league and is going to get destroyed and embarrassed but lebron is a very weird dad from what i can tell

Clay, Sunday, 30 June 2024 01:06 (five days ago) link

its just some fake bs thats why people dont like it

lag∞n, Sunday, 30 June 2024 01:14 (five days ago) link

right, i don't think it's the actual fact of it, but all the buildup culminating in stuff like this is just completely embarrassing:

“We’ve really seen growth in his shooting,” Pelinka said. “I think at the combine when we were there with the scouting staff, he was one of the leaders in making his shots in some of the drills. We really think he can turn into being an elite shot-maker.”

call all destroyer, Sunday, 30 June 2024 01:16 (five days ago) link

celtics should sign deuce

lag∞n, Sunday, 30 June 2024 01:22 (five days ago) link

sam vecenie god bless him in his truth telling campaign about bronny said that theres never been a player drafted before that had bronnys combination of shortness and terrible stats, repeatedly scoffed and comparing him to even the meagerest nba players, joke ass situation

lag∞n, Sunday, 30 June 2024 01:28 (five days ago) link

i don't know if people were saying he was 6'3 or 6'4 over the years or if i just assumed that to be the case, but when his official height came out it was pretty much over

call all destroyer, Sunday, 30 June 2024 01:32 (five days ago) link

sam seems like a nice positive guy and i'm sure it gave him no pleasure but it was great for one of the big draft guys to just come out and say it

call all destroyer, Sunday, 30 June 2024 01:33 (five days ago) link

its cool that lebron will be on the court with his son on his team at some point this season but thats the ONLY cool thing about it

I Chet the Holmgren (Spottie), Sunday, 30 June 2024 01:34 (five days ago) link

shouldve just taken a fishing trip or whatever

lag∞n, Sunday, 30 June 2024 01:41 (five days ago) link

I feel bad for Bronny but if we're already doing this then I demand to see a father-son in-game alley-oop

Chyiv Kyiv (Fetchboy), Sunday, 30 June 2024 01:52 (five days ago) link

im willing to feel bad for bronny for one thousand dollars

lag∞n, Sunday, 30 June 2024 01:58 (five days ago) link

in 1988 the dodgers took mike piazza in the 62nd round(!) of the MLB draft -- and only because piazza's dad grew up with tommy lasorda. this shit happens all the time

it'll be a little different if bronny earns a roster spot, but probably not too much different from that of thanasis with the bux, or larbon getting his podcast partner hired

mookieproof, Sunday, 30 June 2024 03:10 (five days ago) link

i mean it is kind of hilarious people were defending it by saying "how can you criticize this but not Thanasis" like uh that dude's gotten nothing but criticism. literally the only good thing I've heard about him is "he's nice"

frogbs, Sunday, 30 June 2024 03:12 (five days ago) link

Ohio, nepotism, heart problems, a white dork...bronny just sold a halfamillion brake pads

145 feet up in a Jeffrey Pine (Sufjan Grafton), Sunday, 30 June 2024 04:15 (five days ago) link

also I think the "uh oh Lebron is sleeping with his teammates mom" jokes are gonna be funny for a long time

gonna need to look into this definition of all the time

lag∞n, Sunday, 30 June 2024 07:27 (five days ago) link

Woj and SAS's whole rant about "there is nepotism at all levels in ownership and management, don't tell me you care about it now that Bronny got drafted" drove nuts - that sucks too!! and, I don't know, why don't you report on that if you're supposedly a journalist!
