The logistics of buyin season tix in 2014/15

I'm looking into the costs and they are pretty much insane but not _completely_ out of reach so I wanted to discuss here and see if anyone has advice or experience on how to go about doing this.
It seems that you find an amenable friend, buy a pair, split up all the games between you and then sell the dates you can't make on craigslist or whatnot to help support the cost.
Team allegiance aside, given that a first tier seat for the nets runs $5500, how insane is pursuing this on a scale of 10 to 10000000

Knicks even more expensive. Giants run about $500 a game minimum with a five year buy in. Jets somewhat less so. It is cheaper to invest in the opera.

opera also a hell of a lot more interesting than any of those teams

FYI, assuming things work the same across the league, if your team makes the playoffs and you want playoff tickets you are charged for all plausible games at once across all rounds iirc (and playoff tickets go up radically in price) and the difference is not returned to you until the team is eliminated. So make sure your bank account is pretty full come mid-April. Or at least that's how it works for the blazers. It's an awful system.

two weeks pass...

i may buy a block of ten games with two seats for like two grand. waiting for them to announce the season.
i should really get into the wnba; two seats to ten games near courtside for the liberty is about a thousand bucks.

forkz I did this two years ago and it was p dope. The price gap between really good tix and mediocre ones was not enormous and worth the experience imho

taking as given that they are all batshit crazy. I think u either go all in or just buy one or two rando tix the night of a good game bc you can either score a cheap-ish ticket esp if you don't mind going solo or just splash out for one or two good games if yr feeling flush

Barclays is fun

They didn't do the auto-buy for playoff tix a couple of years ago but that may have changed. Ten games actually ends up being a lot so you may want to make sure you have friends/coworkers/ilx bros who would buy or swap you for any nights you end up having to bail
