not super excited about any of these match ups except HOU/OKC. SAS/MEM, TOR/MIL, and ATL/WAS will vie for most NBATV coverage

k3vin k., Thursday, 13 April 2017 22:04 (eight years ago)

you arent into that LAC UJ series? feels like thats a coinflip

Lebro v. Wade (Spottie), Thursday, 13 April 2017 22:06 (eight years ago)

yes that one too

k3vin k., Thursday, 13 April 2017 22:07 (eight years ago)

feeling the milwaukee upset in my bones right now

ciderpress, Thursday, 13 April 2017 22:34 (eight years ago)

just 4 kicks i checked our preseason predix thread. i think everyone had detroit and charlotte making the east offs (no one had mil or chi), and almost everyone had minn instead of mem in the west. i would have hit 4 of my 5 over/under picks.

congrats to sloth for picking the 8 west playoff teams (though he wasn't close on the seeding).

call all destroyer, Thursday, 13 April 2017 22:35 (eight years ago)

iirc i was right about rockets and jazz being real teams this year but whiffed on most of the other differences from last year

ciderpress, Thursday, 13 April 2017 22:39 (eight years ago)

i guess i was also right about minn not being real, not sure what ppl were thinking there. i had nuggets and pels as the ascendant west teams, alas

ciderpress, Thursday, 13 April 2017 22:41 (eight years ago)

i think my best move was calling that the wizards would be good, my worst move was thinking indiana would be good. idk where the hell i got that from.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 13 April 2017 23:07 (eight years ago)

Guess we overrated Teague and Thad Young.

Lebro v. Wade (Spottie), Thursday, 13 April 2017 23:39 (eight years ago)

GSW v POR warriors 4
LAC v UTA jazz 6 (end of clippers as we've known them)
HOU v OKC rockets 5
SAS v MEM spurs 6

BOS v CHI celtics 6
WAS v ATL wizards 7
TOR v MIL raptors 6
CLE v IND cavaliers 6

Clay, Friday, 14 April 2017 04:22 (eight years ago)

I'm thinking the west will see mostly walkovers, with the exception of Clips v Jazz.

GSW over POR in 4
LAC over UTA in 7
HOU over OKC in 5
SAS over MEM in 4

I'm thinking the east will provide just a little more 1st round drama.

BOS over CHI in 5
ATL over WAS in 7
TOR over MIL in 6
CLE over IND in 5

But mostly I'm thinking I'm not so great at this prediction stuff.

SAS v MEM spurs 4

BOS v CHI celtics 5
WAS v ATL wizards 5
TOR v MIL raptors 5 but would not be surprised if bucks push this to 6 or 7

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Friday, 14 April 2017 19:10 (eight years ago)

that's like straight chalk tho isn't it?

Clay, Friday, 14 April 2017 19:39 (eight years ago)

I feel like the cavs won't make the finals

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 14 April 2017 19:52 (eight years ago)

i still think they will but it will be much more challenging than in the past couple years

marcos, Friday, 14 April 2017 19:57 (eight years ago)

i dont believe in upsets in the offs.

nice cage (m bison), Friday, 14 April 2017 20:28 (eight years ago)

playoffs bron will emerge from his cocoon

nice cage (m bison), Friday, 14 April 2017 20:29 (eight years ago)

injuries can foster upsets and 5s can beat 4s w/o it being an upset. but with a 7 game series, the 1-8, 2-7, and 3-6 usually go according to form.

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Friday, 14 April 2017 20:32 (eight years ago)

true, but for me, clips v jazz is a unique case bc of all the clips' injuries during the season. i think theyre going to beat the jazz handily. (would like to be proven wrong tho). that wizards/atl series im less confident in my pick bc atl has some dece playoff experience and also defense is at a premium? but wall is the best player in this series.

nice cage (m bison), Friday, 14 April 2017 21:19 (eight years ago)

The cavs feel like robin givens era mike Tyson looking for their buster Douglas

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 14 April 2017 23:26 (eight years ago)

Lol

Lebro v. Wade (Spottie), Saturday, 15 April 2017 04:41 (eight years ago)

KLove looks bad in this Game 1. Wanders around a bit. Stands on his spot waiting for a pass. Doesn't get the ball out of his hands fast enough. Bad.

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Saturday, 15 April 2017 20:52 (eight years ago)

jr has also been pretty ineffective

micah, Saturday, 15 April 2017 21:35 (eight years ago)

the bron james does it again

ciderpress, Saturday, 15 April 2017 21:37 (eight years ago)

pacers offense same as it ever was

Clay, Saturday, 15 April 2017 21:37 (eight years ago)

^ macmillan's feet firmly planted in 2002

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Saturday, 15 April 2017 21:43 (eight years ago)

I'm annoyed by that play where they pacers choked away the 5 on 4 off the Lebron flop

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 April 2017 21:54 (eight years ago)

Oh my that Giannis dunk

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 April 2017 21:55 (eight years ago)

Yes otm xp! Just finished why didn't they just GO

Lebro v. Wade (Spottie), Saturday, 15 April 2017 22:39 (eight years ago)

lance looked good!

k3vin k., Saturday, 15 April 2017 23:02 (eight years ago)

I think scouts are gonna regret talking themselves out of Thon Maker

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 April 2017 23:09 (eight years ago)

Toronto 1-10 all time in game 1s. Incredible stat.

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 April 2017 23:38 (eight years ago)

i'm a bucks fan now

J0rdan S., Saturday, 15 April 2017 23:47 (eight years ago)

I think Giannis could never shoot a shot outside 15 feet the rest of his career and get multiple MVPs

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 April 2017 23:52 (eight years ago)

they were like 17-7 or something after middleton came back. real team

ciderpress, Saturday, 15 April 2017 23:53 (eight years ago)

good to see playoffs lowry is back

micah, Saturday, 15 April 2017 23:56 (eight years ago)

lol so true

k3vin k., Sunday, 16 April 2017 00:12 (eight years ago)

i really almost picked that as an upset i'm mad i didn't now

ciderpress, Saturday, 27 May 2017 18:35 (eight years ago)

if we have any poker fans in the house, haralabob is currently playing in a 300k buyin tournament and is sitting at the same table as kevin hart

streaming live here: twitch.tv/pokercentral

k3vin k., Sunday, 28 May 2017 21:41 (eight years ago)

bless hart, he seems to love poker, but he is...not good lol

k3vin k., Sunday, 28 May 2017 21:44 (eight years ago)

hart is a pokerstars endorser idk if theyre paying the whole 300 or what but he cld be free rolling fwiw

lag∞n, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:10 (eight years ago)

RIP bob lol

k3vin k., Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:16 (eight years ago)

yeah that's abt as bad a situation you can be in

Clay, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:17 (eight years ago)

cldve folded

lag∞n, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:20 (eight years ago)

like what wld the other guy be bluffing with there

lag∞n, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:21 (eight years ago)

idk i prob call in that situation 9 times out of 10, but i am a pr mediocre live player lol

Clay, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:22 (eight years ago)

kevin hart's watch is intense

Clay, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:22 (eight years ago)

it was kind of a weird spot, probably should have raised the flop multiway, 2 pair is one of the better hands you're going to have in that sitch considering you just called the flop. can prob find fold button there tho for sure

k3vin k., Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:24 (eight years ago)

yeah trapping w top two threeway there was borderline but prob an ok play on a p dry board

lag∞n, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:26 (eight years ago)

he prob wasnt getting that guy off that draw w any at all normal size bet anyway

lag∞n, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:27 (eight years ago)

yeah the more i think abt it the more it's a fold. best case the guy's doing a v weird bluff, i prob woulda talked myself into thinking he hit trip 3's on the turn and gotten away from it

Clay, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:27 (eight years ago)

being on the ladder cld argue for the fold there too

lag∞n, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:28 (eight years ago)

yeah he cldve had all the sets there

lag∞n, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:29 (eight years ago)

overpairs hes prob just calling

lag∞n, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:29 (eight years ago)

being on the ladder cld argue for the fold there too

oh this is just the feature table huh was thinking it was the final

lag∞n, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:31 (eight years ago)

yeah just started, he was the first one out lol

k3vin k., Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:32 (eight years ago)

the field is preposterously stacked btw

k3vin k., Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:33 (eight years ago)

lol one wld expect

lag∞n, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:33 (eight years ago)

busting out first and then hellmuth taking your seat is some extreme insult to injury

Clay, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:35 (eight years ago)

i saw a photo of cp3 at a poker table recently, if there's one NBA dude who could be a solid player it's def him

k3vin k., Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:35 (eight years ago)

that call is a lot more reasonable at the start of the tourney tho

lag∞n, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:36 (eight years ago)

frees up your day i guess

Clay, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:37 (eight years ago)

he seemed pretty tilted lol

k3vin k., Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:37 (eight years ago)

lol hellmuth despite regularly crushing tourneys that arent primarily stacked with the best players cant stay away from elite games just cause he has a chip on his shoulder

lag∞n, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:43 (eight years ago)

kevin hart is playing every hand

lag∞n, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:53 (eight years ago)

lol ok im going outside

lag∞n, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:53 (eight years ago)

he likes to limp haha

k3vin k., Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:55 (eight years ago)

hart is a pretty standard bad home game type player from what i can tell

Clay, Sunday, 28 May 2017 22:58 (eight years ago)

he's not horrendous but his level of play is definitely very basic

k3vin k., Sunday, 28 May 2017 23:08 (eight years ago)

hellmuth about to get coolered

k3vin k., Monday, 29 May 2017 00:01 (eight years ago)

feel like talk radio has been dominated by jordan vs lebron debates 24hr/day since the conference finals

marcos, Monday, 29 May 2017 02:31 (eight years ago)

that's cleveland talk radio obv but also a lot of national shows

marcos, Monday, 29 May 2017 02:32 (eight years ago)

that debate is always the fallback and i couldnt be more tired of it

Spottie, Monday, 29 May 2017 03:18 (eight years ago)

they shd just get it over with and bone

lag∞n, Monday, 29 May 2017 03:28 (eight years ago)

btw kevin hart busted hellmuth w/ set over set, slow rolled him, then announced to the rest of the tables that he busted him
