Maybe I’m insane but except for cavs maybe Philly seems like most likely on that list???

i don't think he's leaving Cleveland

cleveland might still be the safe bet but if he leaves its houston imo. the fit in philly doesnt make a lot of sense to me: two young and unproven stars who need room in the paint to operate, also an unproven franchise.

could houston afford to take him on??

they would have to do some stuff but if anyone can do it it's morey. think they would have to let capella walk or hope he takes less than hes worth. would have to dump the ryan anderson contract for sure. lebron and CP would both prob have to sign for less than max (say, around 25m each) if they want to be able to retain anyone and/or sign some vet minimum ring chasers

i still think LeBron has some sense of hometown loyalty, he was i think both genuinely bothered by the reaction to his leaving and genuinely happy to return once the opportunity arose. i don't think he likes being the bad guy or the mercenary, i think he's cool with playing for the Cavs, being on a team that's a bit of an underdog in the NBA but might possibly be kings in the East as long as he's at or near his peak.

i'm not saying for sure he'll stay, i just think the other narratives don't quite gel for me.

yea i think he's staying in cleveland, that said i think as always he will pressure the cavs org w/ max drama

houston seems like a remote second. he'd get to play w/ a buddy there though and lebron loves his friends

lakers/sixers both remind me of the knicks' delusions back before the The Decision "he is definitely coming here" w/ no evidence to back it up

he legitimately has deep loyalty to "northeast ohio" imo, all the local philanthropic/charitable stuff he does here is immense

I think at this point the field has to be a favorite over cleveland, but so much depends on the outcome of this season

if the cavs win the title, chances he stays are probably >90%
if they lose in the finals, chances are maybe closer to 50/50
if they lose in the eastern conference playoffs, probably way under 50%

it has been suggested many times in cleveland that lebron should play for the browns

if lebron doesnt make the finals he's def gone.

who knows what occurs in "the mind of lebron"

i didnt think he was leaving cleveland the first time and i def didnt think he was going back lol

making the finals + cavs moving that nets pick for say dre jordan seems like a pretty good recipe to retain bron, cld also see him already having his heart set on houston who knows

i stick to the lebron will never leave the eastern conference theory but i'm always wrong about this dude bc i do never comprehend "the mind of lebron"
