stephen jackson is an interesting case. i will have a hard time voting for someone that was the best player on their team even if for just one season (2009-10 bobcats). altho he never made an all star team or got any awards. but he hit some HUGE shots in the title run for the 03 spurs and also was the perfect role player for those indiana teams before he ran into the stands to fight for his teammate. also a big part of the we believe squad.

it is totally based on performance! these are players that are v v good at like 1 or 2 things but definitely not good enough to be considered the best players of their eras.

oh ok, my mistake, i was confused bc I remember a lot of the guys on that longlist sucking ass, haha.

my philosophy is basically that any player can be an important one on a championship team with the right role. iguodala was never going to be a title contender as the number one guy in philly, but as a supersub who could kinda do it all? perfect on the dubs and his work there has cemented his legacy moreso than his larger role and fatter stats in philly.

too bad Danny ainge made an all star team I’d love to vote for that dude
