it is JULY which means we are voting for ROLE PLAYERS in our illustrious hollafame

below are 91 (i think) nominees from last year's vote who never made all-star or all-nba teams but were still major contributors to the game PLUS some new guys. only players who have not played NBA basketball in the last 5 years are eligible, so ITT we need to list some role players who retired after the 2017-2018 season.

just look at when a player last played nba ball. if they last played a game 5 years ago or more, they're eligible.

it may surprise some of you to know that Jason "JET" Terry never made an all-star game, but the internet never lies, and he played his last game in 2018. he is eligible, i nominate him, and will almost certainly vote for him.

Also newly eligible this year (along with Richard Jefferson and Nick Collison, already added to the ballot by m bison), in descending order of consideration for my vote:

Tony "The Grindfather" Allen, spirit animal of the Grit'n'Grind Grizzlies
Kendrick Perkins, pundit whose insights are simply too valuable for ESPN to let him go, center for a lineup that famously never lost in the playoffs, and namesake for gone but not forgotten Celtics blog "Perk is a Beast"
Josh "J-Smoove" Smith, a guy whose technical eligibility as a role player is due to the fact that he never actually found his proper nba identity, which would have yielded at least an all-star berth or three. imo.
