Why they never reached stardom: Played in the shadow of Kidd and Vince Carter during his best years in NJ, and though he did occasionally lead the team in scoring, those teams were pretty mid. By the time he got to SA, his scoring plummeted and he became a journeyman bench wing for years to come.

Why they never reached stardom: spent most of career coming off the bench, also got blackballed by the NBA for his political stances (specifically wearing a dashiki to meet GHW Bush at the White House, KING SHIT)

Why they never reached stardom: Honestly, he was fuckin' robbed. He was like many whose best years were on mid teams (mid 80s Kings), but in 88-89, the Suns won 55 games en route to a WCF with Eddie as their second-leading scorer. He didn't make the All-Star team. Do you know who did? Kevin Duckworth and Mark Eaton. Mark Eaton was one of 3 Jazz All-Stars that year and he averaged 6 points a game for a team that would get swept in the first round. Fuck Utah and fuck Karl Malone. Justice for Eddie Johnson.
