so on npr this morning (and dear god is frank deford at like his most insufferable there, which is saying something)(plus npr always goes retard when sports comes up, like they expect their listeners to know who romano prodi is no prob which is fine but then a sports segment will take the time to explain that michael jordan was a famous basketball player) deford's going on about how people hate duke blah blah blah and he acts like this is only a recent phenom, how 12 years ago or whatever they were scrappy underdogs that stole america's heart by "beating" unlv, which is fucking insane - people have always hated duke. also for some reason he can't figure out why people hate duke "now". here's 4 clues - ferry, laettner, dunleavy, reddick. punx. punx play at duke. frank deford's a fucking idiot.

yeah i'm not crazy about feinstein but i don't fucking HATE him the way i hate deford, i swear if sports illustrated was nothing but photos, no text i might buy it but i loathe deford and rick reilly (who i can't figure out how/why he pops up on dan patrick's show - didn't si try to go toe-to-toe in the tv arena with espn with cnnsi and isn't si a competitor of espn: the magazine's? shouldn't espn corporate bullshit benefit us for once and keep that fuck off the radio???) with a fury comparable to alex in nyc (advocating) torturing muslim women. gah! but yeah fuck any notions that duke were the villanova of 92 or some shit.
