what do you mean consistency? were some teams already using it? did pigs rights activists get to the commissioner?

Leather basketballs wear unevenly so each ball is a little different and behaves a little differently. That's why teams used to go through that semi-elaborate ball-pickin' ceremony at the beginning of games. The theory is that the new synthetic ball will wear in a more uniform fashion and behave more consistently.

two months pass...

Watching the Cavs/Spurs game from last night, WHY DID THEY CHANGE BACK? The shooting in that game was atrocious blah blah I know they need time to adjust WHATEVER, I just want Brent Barry shooting 50% 3pts the rest of the season.
