kinda feel like this is already another lakers v. celtics argument in the making.

who else would even be in this argument? sixers, i guess? maybe the spurs. the bulls just on account of having mj?

The Spurs seem like a bad choice to me. You can add Gervin and Robinson to basically their present-day roster, and I don't think that stacks up to the Celtics/Lakers choices.

That c's roster should have Paul Pierce over kc or sam jones, imo.

Sixers: Cheeks, Greer, Erving, Barkley, Malone, Cunningham, Iverson

w0w that Celtics/Lakers all-franchise matchup is amazing. What a backcourt by the Lakers. What a frontcourt by the Celtics. Would it be totally heretical to take Shaq over Kareem? And wow, no room for Garnett on that Celtics squad, I guess.

I'd take Nate Thurmond over Spree, and they could use some size up front imo.

None of these teams comes closes to Celtics/Lakers all-franchise squads. Not even my beloved Miami Heat! (who probably come in middle or toward-bottom of the league, I guess).

haha mark eaton was there his whole career! c-webb was there for like 2 nonconsecutive years, rite? and mark eaton is second all-time in career blocks! role players can be all-time franchise guys in this situation.

That's silly though. If you aren't going by prime, you at least have to go by where he played a majority of his ball.

Anyone other than the Lakers or the Celtics getting votes is silly. There is a reason why they have won like half the championships. Gotta figure Sixers, Detroit and Houston are probably 3-4-5.

Except for the two of the followings, all of those players were past their peak when they played for the Celts and/or they barely suited up for more than a season or two. Bill Walton was a great player and a great role player for the Celtics, but he doesn't deserve a vote over Robert Parrish.

Gotta figure Sixers, Detroit and Houston are probably 3-4-5.

Spurs deserve mention, too.

Yeah although Gilmore was pretty old by the time they got him so really you are talking about Robinson-Duncan-Gervin-Manu-Parker. And Rodman haha.

I think if you play them together, they have no chance of winning against these other teams.

Where do you play MOSES and Yao and Hakeem? Team is crazy deep at center.

I'm a Philly guy so I think of Moses as Philly first; even if he did play longer/win an MVP with Houston

it's okay though, Houston can just roll out Ming/Sampson/Hakeem and then maybe play Stevie and T-Mac in the backcourt
