okay so i was at the blazers/warriors game tonight, which featured a truly absurd moment. warriors only played six guys all night, and one of them for only a few minutes before his knee apparently started acting up. halfway through the fourth quarter, devean george fouls out and don nelson goes ballistic, screaming and yelling at the refs who are making him sub the injured dude back in. nelson eventually relents, blazers score on the next possession, knocking injured guy (Chris Hunter) over in the process and reaggravating his knee. nelson goes crazy again, makes this enormous production out of the situation he's in and keeps trying to send devean george back into the game. eventually he puts turiaf in, who immediately fouls somebody, and apparently says he's hurt and can't play. so nelson sends anthony morrow in, who does the exact same thing, forcing the refs to allow devean george to play with six fouls for the remaining four minutes of the game.

never seen anything like that in my life. go warriors.

That Blazer/Warrior game last night was hella strange. After Devean George got back in the game, all the Blazer subs (no starters played after the 1st quarter) all seemed so embarassed by the whole situation they just went through the motions of playing out the game, like they'd been caught beating the lunch money out of a crippled kid. Warriors won, btw.

Up to that point it was damned entertaining bball, in a 'pointless game' sort of way.
