would you pay $200 for one ticket to see the heat tomorrow night?

so there's been a slight uproar over the fact that the heat haven't sold out the game tomorrow night, but personally i think the ticket prices ($179 for upper deck, no two seats together; $210 for lower bowl corner) are absolutely absurd and encourage people to reject those prices

also, don't say "well i don't care about the heat, so no" -- imagine that it was your team who signed wade/bron/bosh

those are outrageous prices 4 sure

ice cr?m, Friday, 29 October 2010 01:17 (fifteen years ago)

no i would not. how much more are those than normal home game tickets this season? or are these "normal"?

circles, Friday, 29 October 2010 01:38 (fifteen years ago)

nah these aren't normal -- the same seat in the upper deck behind the basket that's going for $179 on friday night is only $68 for next saturday against the nets

the ones that are going for $210 are going for $114 vs the nets

sour posse (J0rdan S.), Friday, 29 October 2010 01:42 (fifteen years ago)

who are they playing tomorrow

dayo, Friday, 29 October 2010 01:42 (fifteen years ago)

it could be worse tho -- there are tickets at MSG for the knicks home opener that are going for $519

seems around right, I might pay if I was making six figurezzzz

dayo, Friday, 29 October 2010 01:46 (fifteen years ago)

yeah you save $100 if you watch them vs the nets but then youre watching the nets

otoh the heat are still in some sort of primal lump of ooze stage right now and would probably get demolished by the magic, I wouldnt pay to go see them perform, more just to see DWIGHT

dayo, Friday, 29 October 2010 01:47 (fifteen years ago)

feeling kind of priced out by nba tix at the moment. the only time i went to a game i only paid like 20 bucks for upper level behind-the-basket seats.

circles, Friday, 29 October 2010 01:59 (fifteen years ago)

dont really like to go to games unless i can see the game good so atm its kinda w/e

ice cr?m, Friday, 29 October 2010 02:00 (fifteen years ago)

am0n, Friday, 29 October 2010 16:11 (fifteen years ago)

no i would not pay $200.00 to watch this failed experiment of a team.

Daniel, Esq., Friday, 29 October 2010 21:29 (fifteen years ago)

kidding, obv. (except for paying the $200.00).

trying to find the espn article i spotted today basically assessing the heat as a failed experiment already (hollinger, maybe?).

Daniel, Esq., Friday, 29 October 2010 21:31 (fifteen years ago)

could be Simmons, still putting out the Boston-flavored haterade.

$200.00 for a home game against intra-state rivals, both of whom have Finals aspirations? TBH, maybe. If I weren't dealing with other real life expenses right now (nothing bad, just SoCal is expensive to live in) and if my wife were as big or close to as big a hoops fan as me, yes.

But, as with a lot of other expensive luxuries, life gets in the way.

In a vacuum, probably.

prices are ludicrous obv, and upper deck for bball is not v. fun

call all destroyer, Friday, 29 October 2010 21:37 (fifteen years ago)

Yes, it was Simmons.

they're joyless; they can't exist with two alpha-dogs; wade must step back, because lebron is so much better; bosh looks scared; they can't overcome the hatred; they're over-rated; they're attempting a historic experiment (a "radical" blueprint for winning).

The Heat management have no clue how hard I work for $200 of take home pay. When have they EVER had a chance to learn this fact?
