wau. playing with someone that size is hard to imagine for me.

the first game was pretty intense, he and i were on the same team but we lost like 11-8 or something. he could have dominated if he wanted to just park in the post but he was trying to play like a guard. then i got picked up by the team that beat us and played against him for 2 or 3 games - we had another freshman player, deandre d@niels, on our team. i threw him like 3 pretty nice oops which was sweet. personal highlight was running a fast break down the right side with daniels streaking down the left and only drummond running back on d - gave a real nice fake behind the back and got drummond to bite, and took it in past him.

other than that the two of them basically took all the shots lol

one other thing that amazed me was the size of his hands - like i have pretty big hands esp for my size but like high-fiving him was the weirdest thing ever, those things are like a foot in diameter

don't really understand the economics at work for maryland -- they're already in a bcs conference (albeit a shitty one for football) and there's a $50m buyout from the acc. not sure how this helps.

Hey y'all. Not a close follower of sports. I barely understand what "athletic conference" even means. It just seems like there's a lot of vitriol about Maryland's move to the Big Ten.

Is the Big Ten a shitty conference? Is this just sour grapes from athletic types who are really steeped in athletic traditions? Should I give a fuck whether the Terrapins are playing the Tar Heels or the Golden Gophers? The Hokies or the Fighting Illini?
