VCU/Missouri trading shots...great game. One point game.

I've got some hopes for the Illini this year, new coach and all.

john. a resident of chicago., Sunday, 25 November 2012 02:01 (twelve years ago)

is duke/louisville on tv or

johnny crunch, Sunday, 25 November 2012 02:04 (twelve years ago)

NBCSports. Didn't know we had it until tonight. Didn't know it existed until tonight, actually.

john. a resident of chicago., Sunday, 25 November 2012 02:08 (twelve years ago)

Notre Dame is very Notre Damey this year

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 30 November 2012 00:14 (twelve years ago)

also the numbers on these jerseys are almost completely unreadable

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 30 November 2012 00:15 (twelve years ago)

rip rick majerus

mookieproof, Sunday, 2 December 2012 02:19 (twelve years ago)

Will always remember Majerus for this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RXaERVhNuU

john. a resident of chicago., Sunday, 2 December 2012 14:13 (twelve years ago)

Majerus was a regular guest on our local sports talk, the host that had him on was pretty broken up, also talked some more personal stuff, apparently majerus was kind of an old school leftie, father was a union leader, mom took him to civil rights rallies as a kid

U.S. State Department, Office of Rare Psych (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Sunday, 2 December 2012 16:45 (twelve years ago)

Gophers have a fun team this year!

The Big 10 is crazy deep this year

Andrew WKRP (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Wednesday, 12 December 2012 03:07 (twelve years ago)

aw man

no memories of him other than watching him as an analyst for espn when i was in, idk, middle school or high school. he seemed like a dude

k3vin k., Wednesday, 12 December 2012 03:20 (twelve years ago)

rodney williams of the gophers is really fun to watch, great game last night against NDSU

Butler/Indiana game looking like a classic so far. Would love to go to a game with that kind of atmosphere.

Separately, the BudLight ad with Pitbull is so ridiculous. The end with him holding a beer in one hand, waving the other in the air...awful.

john. a resident of chicago., Saturday, 15 December 2012 19:37 (twelve years ago)

rotnei clarke is a tremendous name

mookieproof, Saturday, 15 December 2012 21:06 (twelve years ago)

Massive game.

john. a resident of chicago., Saturday, 15 December 2012 21:32 (twelve years ago)

yeah sick game

johnny crunch, Saturday, 15 December 2012 21:37 (twelve years ago)

l'ville/mem might have a p good finish here too

johnny crunch, Saturday, 15 December 2012 21:39 (twelve years ago)

Wow. Fantastic. The way Stevens keeps his players focused and the way his team consistently does not give up is so damn impressive. That he does it w/out marquee recruits makes it even more impressive than what Krzyzewski does.

And that Illinois beat Butler earlier this year makes me happy.

john. a resident of chicago., Saturday, 15 December 2012 21:42 (twelve years ago)

LSU has a 7'3 white dude who went to school initially on a tuba scholarship

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 22 December 2012 19:20 (twelve years ago)

I'm not sure I've ever seen a player have this many spectacular assists in one game

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLEvGbR8uzw

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 31 December 2012 08:55 (twelve years ago)

During the Illinois game, Pressey would comie flying in behind three 6'6"+ Illini and get a rebound. Dude's 5'10" and Egwu or Griffey would have their arms up over his head and he'd sneak in. Wtf?

john. a resident of chicago., Monday, 31 December 2012 14:38 (twelve years ago)

fuck cadugan imo

johnny crunch, Wednesday, 2 January 2013 03:04 (twelve years ago)

haha that call

fiscal cliff paul (k3vin k.), Wednesday, 2 January 2013 03:17 (twelve years ago)

Just watched Michigan beat up on Northwestern. Probably not the best indicator of that team (since NU is down their top two scorers), but, wow, Trey Burke. Dude can play. Scored thirteen straight in a couple of minutes and literally shook one NU player out of a shoe.

john. a resident of chicago., Friday, 4 January 2013 03:38 (twelve years ago)

johnny crunch, Sunday, 20 January 2013 04:14 (twelve years ago)

What an incredible day in college hoops .. Two of my there fave teams achieve huge wins ('Cuse, Sparty ) , and then an awesome nightcap with Butler with the cardiac win over the Zags. Glued to ESPN all day, best Saturday in forever

Stormy Davis, Sunday, 20 January 2013 04:20 (twelve years ago)

Butler down their best player and still pulls it out...hard not to love that team.

john. a resident of chicago., Sunday, 20 January 2013 04:23 (twelve years ago)

And, wtf, Illinois beat both Gonzaga and Butler but can't beat Northwestern.

john. a resident of chicago., Sunday, 20 January 2013 04:25 (twelve years ago)

moullet, Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:03 (twelve years ago)

siva 2nd round if lucky, prob europe
dieng 20s?
mcgary 15-20?
burke top 6
hardaway/robinson late 1st round

moullet, Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:05 (twelve years ago)

smith no idea

moullet, Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:05 (twelve years ago)

i bet dieng sneaks into the lower end of the lottery

mcgary will be a top 10 pick, burke will prob be top 3

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:06 (twelve years ago)

where do u guys think this guy will get drafted

Clay, Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:08 (twelve years ago)

seriosuly in that gif the bald guy is like "ka-POW" it's v funny

k3vin k., Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:09 (twelve years ago)

siva's dad needs to join snoop's entourage

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:10 (twelve years ago)

dieg put up 8/8/6 with 3 blocks tonight

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:11 (twelve years ago)

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress 33m
Trey Burke has blown-by maybe the best perimeter defender in the NCAA, Russ Smith, all game. Maybe most important thing we learned tonight.

moullet, Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:12 (twelve years ago)

http://www.gusjohnsongetsbuckets.com/ ):

moullet, Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:13 (twelve years ago)

i'd still be wary of burke's height tho imo, his court vision isn't exactly chris paul level

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:13 (twelve years ago)

hes like kemba walker at least?

moullet, Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:14 (twelve years ago)

yeah that's exactly who i was thinking of

he's prob a bit better than that tho... kemba was a year or two older

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:15 (twelve years ago)

@johnhollinger 1m
I thought NCAA's official ladder was the kids' backs.

k3vin k., Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:15 (twelve years ago)

"one shining moment" is hella corny

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:15 (twelve years ago)

i feel like siva at least deserves like, mateen cleaves-level treatment, get drafted and spend a few years riding pine before washing out

乒乓, Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:15 (twelve years ago)

i keep on thinking of that study that concluded that like, players who outperformed expectations in the tournametn tended to do better than expecte din the nba too, prime example being d wade

乒乓, Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:17 (twelve years ago)

siva's stats are garbage tho and he's a senior, he could maybe be the last guy off the bench type but idk

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:18 (twelve years ago)

yeah this is the only game i've seen where he's impressive, russ smith was dominating in the others

乒乓, Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:19 (twelve years ago)

still though. SIIIIIIIIIIIIIVAAAAAAA

乒乓, Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:19 (twelve years ago)

i wish i could run data right now for senior point guards who shot 40 percent or worse from the field and 30 percent or worse from 3

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:20 (twelve years ago)

siva has a real nice handle

burke otoh was able to bomb it from deep but i wasn't really too impressed with any other aspect of his game, nba scouts prob all think differently though *shrug*

乒乓, Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:21 (twelve years ago)

@DanWolken 17m
Wow. Beilein admits he didn't realize Michigan wasn't in the bonus yet in the final minute, which is why they didn't foul immediately.

moullet, Tuesday, 9 April 2013 04:49 (twelve years ago)

its amazing how college coaches can just be good at recruiting and suck a coaching and still do ok

lag∞n, Tuesday, 9 April 2013 05:51 (twelve years ago)

could easily see both Burke and mcgary in the top 5, dieng is is really very old, but on the other hand nba centers dont grow on trees, could see him sneaking into the bottom of the lottery, robinson is supposedly a potential lottery pick too, hardaway is a second rounder

idk man 6-11 dudes who know how to play basketball good are generally not just found lying around, any team that gets him in the teens is gonna be punching the air so hard

lag∞n, Wednesday, 10 April 2013 04:07 (twelve years ago)

well I would draft him top 10 for sure, but right now draftexpress is calling him a "first rounder"

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 10 April 2013 04:14 (twelve years ago)

ya I think the think w them and chad ford is their lists are reported based on talking to teams and its gonna take them a min to adjust to how good he is, i mean once they start working him out and really thinking about it you have to think hes gonna start moving up
