Who will win the Atlantic Division 2013-14

As of December 11th, the Atlantic Division currently looks like this:

Boston 10-14, .417
Toronto 7-13, .350
Brooklyn 7-14, .333
Philadelphia 7-16, .304
New York 6-15, .286

Boston might trade off all their dudes helping them win. Philly has fallen hard after winning their first few. Toronto just traded Rudy Gay and should benefit from that. The Knicks will get Tyson Chandler back and fire Mike Woodson eventually. Brooklyn's won two in a row and who knows what happens with them. Which of these glorious franchises will come away with this highest of honors?

Toronto or Brooklyn

Al He Miola (Spottie), Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:06 (eleven years ago)

Brooklyn. I would make a real bet on it.

yeah i still feel like they will turn it around, not elite levels but no way they can be as bad as they've played

Al He Miola (Spottie), Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:07 (eleven years ago)

i'm curious what happens with toronto but brooklyn has to turn it around you'd think

Clay, Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:11 (eleven years ago)

yeah definitely. I mean with the standard "staying healthy" caveat/disclaimer.

signed, J.P. Morgan CEO (Hurting 2), Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:12 (eleven years ago)

I mean if Chandler can recover properly the Knicks will probably turn it around too, but they'll have an awful lot of ground to make up.

signed, J.P. Morgan CEO (Hurting 2), Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:14 (eleven years ago)

im not sure he fixes everything tho

Al He Miola (Spottie), Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:17 (eleven years ago)

brooklyn prob, things can only go up and the other teams aren't gonna want to keep winning

k3vin k., Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:19 (eleven years ago)

well NY does

Al He Miola (Spottie), Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:19 (eleven years ago)

bruins imo

mookieproof, Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:20 (eleven years ago)

knicks should deal shumpert. I never really felt that dude.

signed, J.P. Morgan CEO (Hurting 2), Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:29 (eleven years ago)

the mythical trade value of shumpert is one of my favorite things

call all destroyer, Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:32 (eleven years ago)

man

the fucking knicks, probably

this shit is unbelievable

le goon (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:42 (eleven years ago)

Shumpert seems to me like a talented and skilled dude who probably won't develop a "mature" game and will just kind of lose speed and athleticism and fizzle a little.

signed, J.P. Morgan CEO (Hurting 2), Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:44 (eleven years ago)

The hot Deron return makes me think it'll be Brooklyn, but really who knows

Nhex, Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:46 (eleven years ago)

deron and bropez semi-healthy are good enough to get them in the 'offs

Al He Miola (Spottie), Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:52 (eleven years ago)

absolutely

k3vin k., Thursday, 12 December 2013 04:53 (eleven years ago)

Knicks and Nets should just combine their best players into one team called the Necks

signed, J.P. Morgan CEO (Hurting 2), Thursday, 12 December 2013 05:03 (eleven years ago)

*Knecks

Al He Miola (Spottie), Thursday, 12 December 2013 05:08 (eleven years ago)

voted bk

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 December 2013 15:23 (eleven years ago)

I can't think of a good case for any of these except BK if they hire george carl or lionel hollins or something.

do a formal proof or w/e (brimstead), Thursday, 12 December 2013 17:54 (eleven years ago)

BK just seems like the classic case of everything that could go wrong did. they'll get healthier, the coaching will presumably be more competent -- like i said there's nowhere to go but up

k3vin k., Thursday, 12 December 2013 17:56 (eleven years ago)

yeah they had so many injuries their best two guys were out

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 December 2013 18:05 (eleven years ago)

there are real structural problems with that team but obviously they can't be any worse

le goon (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 12 December 2013 18:06 (eleven years ago)

yeah theyre slow as hell is prob their worst quality but theyre an ok team when both williams and lopez play

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 December 2013 18:09 (eleven years ago)

Plus 35 wins might take this division

Voted bk but I'm confident boston will lead on and off for the next two months and extremely confident ainge will take a machete to the roster before the trade deadline to ensure they stay out of the 'offs

Ditto Toronto and Masai

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Thursday, 12 December 2013 21:34 (eleven years ago)

Plus I feel like once deron and bropez are healthy they'll get one last couple months long stretch of decent play from the corpse of Paul pierce and maybe like a few decent weeks out of KG esp if a playoff spot is in the balance

z-time champion (agent hibachi), Thursday, 12 December 2013 21:36 (eleven years ago)

so raptors or boston now huh

#SwaggyRambo (Clay), Saturday, 21 December 2013 18:59 (eleven years ago)

god........ will ainge let boston make the playoffs?

le goon (J0rdan S.), Saturday, 21 December 2013 19:22 (eleven years ago)

You'd think it would be easier to win a race to the bottom.

Aimless, Saturday, 21 December 2013 19:55 (eleven years ago)

winner of the atlantic cld easily get into the 2nd round too cause everyone else sucks so bad too lol

lag∞n, Saturday, 21 December 2013 21:19 (eleven years ago)

signed, J.P. Morgan CEO (Hurting 2), Saturday, 21 December 2013 21:23 (eleven years ago)

don't all these shitty teams have to play each other a bunch eventually and inflate their records and stuff?

#SwaggyRambo (Clay), Saturday, 21 December 2013 21:46 (eleven years ago)

no one wins, d. stern's last act as commish is a mercy kill, lets these 5 teams float out on ice barge while the division title is sold on craigslist to a team of etsy artists who draw washington in the first round and lose in 6 games
