johnny crunch, Saturday, 11 September 2010 21:31 (fourteen years ago) link

Colorado looks worse than UC Davis did.

no gut busting joke can change history (polyphonic), Saturday, 11 September 2010 21:35 (fourteen years ago) link

minnesota looks like the slowest team i've ever seen in my entire life

J0rdan S., Saturday, 11 September 2010 21:36 (fourteen years ago) link

our defense appears to be in a better place than it was recently tho. at least, in better hands. xp

iatee, Saturday, 11 September 2010 21:39 (fourteen years ago) link

wow from the halftime statistics i don't see how u.m. is even in that ohio state game.

Daniel, Esq., Saturday, 11 September 2010 21:49 (fourteen years ago) link

are you watching the game or

J0rdan S., Saturday, 11 September 2010 21:51 (fourteen years ago) link

or

Daniel, Esq., Saturday, 11 September 2010 21:51 (fourteen years ago) link

i have a federal district-court trial starting tuesday. no game-watching for me.

Daniel, Esq., Saturday, 11 September 2010 21:51 (fourteen years ago) link

Cool, are you on offense or defense?

Donovan Dagnabbit (WmC), Saturday, 11 September 2010 21:59 (fourteen years ago) link

both, in a strange way. X sues Y (us) and Z. Y cross-claims against Z, and argues that a win against Z crosses-over, under federal law, into a win against Y. the court granted us summary-judgment against Z, and agreed that this crossed-over into a summary-judgment over X.

there shouldn't be a trial, from our point of view. but Z is refusing to relent. we find out on monday if there's a trial on tuesday.

Daniel, Esq., Saturday, 11 September 2010 22:15 (fourteen years ago) link

sorry! we argue that a win against Z crosses-over, under federal law, into a win against X.

good grief, what a mistake.

I felt sorry for UT players and fans for one day, when Kiffin skipped town. But now I'm back to wishing them ill. GO DUCKS!

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 12 September 2010 02:36 (fourteen years ago) link

Damn, Tennessee is gettin stuffed now.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 12 September 2010 03:05 (fourteen years ago) link

this was inevitable

J0rdan S., Sunday, 12 September 2010 03:06 (fourteen years ago) link

almost feel bad for reggie bush

imo maybe the most deserving heisman winner in the last decade (and also deserves this fate)

I wish the ncaa could just ban usc for life? maybe the federal government could de-accredit usc academically too. but then bush keeps his trophy cause I mean he was pretty good.

iatee, Wednesday, 15 September 2010 02:11 (fourteen years ago) link

you can't take away the memories. the memories of beating cal (in particular).

in a panini or crostini (ytth), Wednesday, 15 September 2010 04:14 (fourteen years ago) link

florida should just totally stop running the ball

J0rdan S., Saturday, 18 September 2010 20:44 (fourteen years ago) link

adopt the texas tech offense -- their receivers aren't great but brantley can flat pass the ball

J0rdan S., Saturday, 18 September 2010 20:45 (fourteen years ago) link

you can't take away the memories. the memories of beating cal (in particular).

iirc ncaa is looking into ways to legally erase usc-related memories

iatee, Saturday, 18 September 2010 22:20 (fourteen years ago) link

anyway yesterday night reminded me that college football doesn't exist

Oh man. That sucks.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 20 September 2010 20:24 (fourteen years ago) link

Yeah, I am happy UCLA won a game and did so impressively, but less happy that Houston's season ended up getting ruined by injuries by the end of the game.

Man, I was excited because I was finally going to get to watch a whole game with some Denard Robinson action today (conflicting games the first 3 weeks). And then he goes down, oof!

I'm glad he'll be okay, but the fact that he's done for the day means I have to pick up some other shitty game (and they're ALL shitty). Currently it's UAB vs. Tennessee.

is there anything more depressing than 12 pm college football games? nothing right?

high efficiency unit (J0rdan S.), Saturday, 25 September 2010 17:03 (fourteen years ago) link

it's like you have this awesome meal waiting for you at 3:30 and your appetizer is unheated campbell's tomato soup

high efficiency unit (J0rdan S.), Saturday, 25 September 2010 17:03 (fourteen years ago) link

Did you guys see the EWU field on Gameday this morning? I didn't know about it until today. Boise State copycat, except it's blinding red. There's NO FUCKING WAY I could look at that for 3 hours on tv w/o going blind, much less live and in person. I don't know how those players/fans do it.

Johnny Fever, Saturday, 25 September 2010 17:07 (fourteen years ago) link

that has to be a major negative in recruiting

Johnny Crunch just described how I spent my summer.

otm, I def preferred living on the west coast when it came to football games, could just wake up to good games instead of waiting all day

iatee, Saturday, 25 September 2010 17:33 (fourteen years ago) link

stanford vs notre dame is the first time I'm rooting for notre dame win in like 5 years

iatee, Saturday, 25 September 2010 19:37 (fourteen years ago) link

actually nvm if notre dame win against a ranked team that means they'll go to a bcs game even after they lose every other match this season, maybe I don't want that

iatee, Saturday, 25 September 2010 19:39 (fourteen years ago) link

I don't know if my 36.9-year-old heart can take this Arkansas/Crimson Gusher game.
