yeah that team is beyond terrible -- truly an inexcusable loss

as a usc fan, this year is about noticing the little things, like a 5th yr senior having a career day at rb amid an annoying loss, or matt barkley doing some good stuff, instead of about worrying if usc is going to inexplicably cough up a loss in a game against an unranked opponent like they did in 2007-9 (and multiple times during 2010). when i say "this year," feel free to substitute "the next 6 years." but living in the bay area, beating cal is important. my coworkers still talk shit about cal beating usc in 2004, so i can imagine what i'm in for if cal wins this year. i'm hoping they have a lot of momentum going into the game and are ranked, because that pretty much guarantees a loss.

analysts can write off the fact that they've given up like 580 yards in each of the last two games but have been bailed out by tons of turnovers as the defense being "opportunistic" or whatever but in reality it just means that they've been really, really lucky -- eventually they're gonna lose a game 48-42

i would prefer to see oregon-boise in the rose bowl if i had to choose

boise getting in and winning would be the best thing for a playoff

osu not getting in would be the best thing for people who enjoy watching football

Really I am not enjoying UCLA playing in the Bay Area this year. 35-0 vs Stanford and now this. I kinda want to play nothing but schools in Texas for the rest of the year.
