that behavior is abysmal. idk what the story was before that -- maybe moss was provoked terribly or maybe childress is a terrible coach -- but i think childress was right to waive him after that.

Q: How do you compensate for Moss' loss on the field?Childress: We've got Hank Baskett, who has been inactive. We'll elevate his turns and get him in the mix. He'll help us there and he'll help us on special teams.
You can't make this up!

"He'll help us there and he'll help us on special teams."
Just dont expect him to recover onside kicks for you. But then again, i dont think the Vikings will find themselves in that situation often.

how long is vince young out for? Moss is perfect for a guy like kerry collins, who can unload the long ball. this could be bad for vince.

enjoying this excerpt:
It's not surprising that Vikings owner Zygi Wilf has been hanging around Winter Park the past few days. What is surprising is that he was able to make it past the pitchforks, flaming torches and "Fire Childress" banners to get to the Vikings' practice facility.
Having Zygi snacking in the team cafeteria just adds to the general creepiness surrounding the Vikings this week. He's not exactly one of the boys. And his presence often leads to plenty of eye rolling. Obviously, he's trying to gauge the temperature of his team. But not being much of a football guy, Zygi couldn't figure out the team's temperature if he went from locker to locker with a basal thermometer.
If he could figure it out, however, he'd discover that the temperature is about what it always is. The majority of Vikings players never will break into a chorus of "For he's a jolly good fellow ..." when Childress walks into the room. But they are professional, and they want to win. So they look past the circus and try to concentrate on the next football game.
