this is too much

J0rdan S., Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:42 (thirteen years ago) link

if i was a boise fan i would've killed myself

J0rdan S., Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:43 (thirteen years ago) link

if I were a kicker I would spend the game in an isolated chamber so I didn't know what the score was or what just happened whenever I was gonna head on the field

iatee, Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:44 (thirteen years ago) link

lol otm

J0rdan S., Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:44 (thirteen years ago) link

statue of liberty time imo

iatee, Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:47 (thirteen years ago) link

If I were Kyle Brotzman right now my head would just be "DON'T FUCK UP DON'T FUCK UP"

C-L, Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:49 (thirteen years ago) link

brutal

iatee, Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:49 (thirteen years ago) link

And apparently he was also thinking that, and then he did that.

C-L, Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:49 (thirteen years ago) link

They're not going to let that guy back across the Idaho state line.

Lightning Is For Babies (Johnny Fever), Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:49 (thirteen years ago) link

this is the worst thing i've seen in the history of sports

J0rdan S., Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:49 (thirteen years ago) link

this is not even fun anymore

J0rdan S., Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:49 (thirteen years ago) link

Guess I should be watching this instead of cricket eh

Disgraced Homo Cop (Princess TamTam), Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:51 (thirteen years ago) link

Holy shit.

C-L, Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:52 (thirteen years ago) link

what a fucked up way to lose

iatee, Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:52 (thirteen years ago) link

this isn't right

J0rdan S., Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:53 (thirteen years ago) link

I love it when little schools get big wins. The fans go absolutely insane with happiness.

Lightning Is For Babies (Johnny Fever), Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:53 (thirteen years ago) link

i don't even want to think about the boise kicker -- i mean jeez

J0rdan S., Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:53 (thirteen years ago) link

yeah nevada is good too, so it's not like this is a fluke (tho the ending basically was) xp

iatee, Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:53 (thirteen years ago) link

he's gonna be one of these guys that loses his mind and is a homeless drug addict in 12 years

J0rdan S., Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:54 (thirteen years ago) link

that scenario can only play out if he doesn't kill himself this week

iatee, Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:54 (thirteen years ago) link

College football is the cruelest of sports.

C-L, Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:55 (thirteen years ago) link

this honestly has to go down with buckner -- i mean plenty of guys have missed one kick, but two...

J0rdan S., Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:56 (thirteen years ago) link

maybe goes down w/ scott norwood

J0rdan S., Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:56 (thirteen years ago) link

this sets boise back like 5 years

also fuck the world if tcu makes the nat'l title -- boring ass team

J0rdan S., Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:56 (thirteen years ago) link

If Oregon loses the Civil War or Auburn loses the SEC Championship, this game becomes even more ridiculous, also.

C-L, Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:56 (thirteen years ago) link

he's a senior

not gonna be in the pros I imagine

that's gonna be w/ him his entire life

iatee, Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:57 (thirteen years ago) link

yeah i mean... bartman status

J0rdan S., Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:57 (thirteen years ago) link

Brotzman is basically that Van de Velde dude at the British Open a few years ago, where it was all but won on the last hole and then he completely fell apart. I dunno what to even compare it to. Maybe Charles Smith? Rick Ankiel?

J0rdan S., Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:59 (thirteen years ago) link

btw that first kick still looked good to me

J0rdan S., Saturday, 27 November 2010 06:59 (thirteen years ago) link

I am not in favor of Rod Gilmore's insistence that not icing the kicker is what made Boise lose.

C-L, Saturday, 27 November 2010 07:06 (thirteen years ago) link

that kicker is a walk on who is 5' 6" & has missed like 8 fg this year -- i think the last thing you want is him getting a second shot

J0rdan S., Saturday, 27 November 2010 07:07 (thirteen years ago) link

can i just

it used to be a cute turtle, but then the EXTREME 90S happened and the thing went and took steroids

I want to be happy about LSU losing, but as long as Arkansas is coached by Bobby Petrino, I can't. ANYBODY BUT ARKANSAS!

Lightning Is For Babies (Johnny Fever), Sunday, 28 November 2010 01:23 (thirteen years ago) link

okla-okla st is a great game -- both coordinators are two of the more innovative in major college football

J0rdan S., Sunday, 28 November 2010 02:31 (thirteen years ago) link

ga tech kicker conspiracy

daria-g, Sunday, 28 November 2010 03:58 (thirteen years ago) link

Yay, USC lost!!!

Also, this should come as a surprise to no one, but Randy Shannon is now unemployed.

Lightning Is For Babies (Johnny Fever), Sunday, 28 November 2010 04:22 (thirteen years ago) link

no surprise at all.

i keep hearing that um can't/won't pay for a top-notch coach or top-notch facilities, both of which are dragging the program down. no idea if that's true.

Daniel, Esq., Sunday, 28 November 2010 04:30 (thirteen years ago) link

Brad Childress is available, just sayin.

Lightning Is For Babies (Johnny Fever), Sunday, 28 November 2010 04:32 (thirteen years ago) link

UM's donor base -- as a private school with barely over 10k enrollment a year -- is incredibly small compared to pretty much every other big time college program

miami can offer some intriguing things (nice weather, tradition, great support from ex-players, pipeline in arguably the most fertile recruiting county in america) but money, facilities and fans are not any of those things

J0rdan S., Sunday, 28 November 2010 04:33 (thirteen years ago) link

the names i'm hearing: dan mullen, randy edsall (sorry j crunch), mark richt and...... jon gruden (sorry ilnfl)

J0rdan S., Sunday, 28 November 2010 04:36 (thirteen years ago) link

not familiar with those names (except for gruden, obv).

was "a private school with barely over 10K enrollment a year" when i went there in the mid-80s. somehow, tho, we found a string of magic coaches that created a massive dynasty. we're in our "lost in the wilderness" years now, i suppose.
