i keep hearing that um can't/won't pay for a top-notch coach or top-notch facilities, both of which are dragging the program down. no idea if that's true.

UM's donor base -- as a private school with barely over 10k enrollment a year -- is incredibly small compared to pretty much every other big time college program

miami can offer some intriguing things (nice weather, tradition, great support from ex-players, pipeline in arguably the most fertile recruiting county in america) but money, facilities and fans are not any of those things

the names i'm hearing: dan mullen, randy edsall (sorry j crunch), mark richt and...... jon gruden (sorry ilnfl)
