watching seattle implode has been a treat

sleepingbag, Sunday, 26 October 2014 19:05 (ten years ago)

That falcons game was incomprehensible. You can't make that up. I've played/watched football my entire life. A holding call on a DL on a running play is one of the rarest calls in sports. And don't even get me started on the late 4th q play calling and the goddamn field goal.

Prince Kajuku (Bill Magill), Sunday, 26 October 2014 19:25 (ten years ago)

As far as I'm concerned, everybody who sacks Mettenberger from here to eternity is entitled to clown on his dumb ass.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 27 October 2014 02:26 (ten years ago)

jets gm is holding his midseason press conference and it is so painful and embarrassing

mookieproof, Monday, 27 October 2014 17:44 (ten years ago)

Does Rex still have a job?

Prince Kajuku (Bill Magill), Monday, 27 October 2014 18:33 (ten years ago)

yes, although the jets would not confirm that he will be their coach through the end of the season. because right now they're concentrating on playing kansas city on sunday, and their minds can only hold so many thoughts

mookieproof, Monday, 27 October 2014 19:20 (ten years ago)

Rex Ryan gets fired I could see the Bears wanting him as the defensive coordinator/coach in waiting.

earlnash, Monday, 27 October 2014 20:57 (ten years ago)

oh god

LIKE If you are against racism (omar little), Monday, 27 October 2014 20:58 (ten years ago)

I still think Rex is a good coach for some reason, but really nobody's making it happen with this roster

Abstinence Hawk (frogbs), Monday, 27 October 2014 20:59 (ten years ago)

if he can survive the complete deconstruction of his ego rex will be a sick DC somewhere

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 27 October 2014 21:58 (ten years ago)

this should go without saying but colt mccoy is terrible

Roberto Spiralli, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 00:54 (ten years ago)

why are they sitting cousins for this guy again?

Mordy, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 01:05 (ten years ago)

guys his name is colt

mookieproof, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 01:06 (ten years ago)

well, his first name is Daniel.

polyphonic, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 01:13 (ten years ago)

wow that was incredible

k3vin k., Tuesday, 28 October 2014 01:27 (ten years ago)

that he pulled that off after catching the ball at his shoelaces, wow

rip van wanko, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 01:30 (ten years ago)

his arm looks live but he def appears to stare down reads, etc and its hard to imagine hes not gonna make some v crucial mistake(s)

johnny crunch, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 02:13 (ten years ago)

so, it's Brandon Weeden vs. Colt McCoy right now

Abstinence Hawk (frogbs), Tuesday, 28 October 2014 02:39 (ten years ago)

GO HATCATS BEAT DALLAS

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Tuesday, 28 October 2014 02:39 (ten years ago)

i think it's a measure of my magnanimity toward all god's creatures that i acutally cringed and felt sad at the romo sack gif

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Tuesday, 28 October 2014 02:45 (ten years ago)

true hatcats style to knock themselves out of FG range after all that with a stupid delay of game

why do i even bother to watch

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Tuesday, 28 October 2014 03:13 (ten years ago)

i'm still rooting for your hatcats!

Mordy, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 03:13 (ten years ago)

i wonder if someday some nfl team is going to be inept enough to punt it on fourth down in an overtime situation like this

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Tuesday, 28 October 2014 03:39 (ten years ago)

marty mornihinweg deferred after winning the toss under the old overtime rules right? anything is possible.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 03:42 (ten years ago)

WOOOOO HATCATS

Mordy, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 03:42 (ten years ago)

YEAHHHHH

ok i heard people already yelling out the windows and laying on their car horns in the neighborhood before i saw the fourth down play

awesome

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Tuesday, 28 October 2014 03:43 (ten years ago)

The future of the NFL is clearly Colt McCoy, ladies and gentlemen.

(I did not watch tonight's game. Did they win because Romo went out or did they semi-legitimately beat Dallas?)

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 04:30 (ten years ago)

romo went out, backup looked good (scored 10 points to keep pace w/ hatcat offensive), and then romo came back in and looked pretty sloppy. but hatcats really played gritty + hard all game and i would definitely say it was semi-legit if not entirely legit.

Mordy, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 04:53 (ten years ago)

mccoy made some really flashy plays i thought - had a rush TD too that totally fooled the cowboys defense

Mordy, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 04:54 (ten years ago)

“I’ll tell you what, when we were kids I hid in Jay’s closet for what must have been an hour, just waiting for him to come back to his room from the shower so I could see him without any clothes on,” Gruden said to a seemingly stunned and utterly silent Mike Tirico as the game continued on screen. “He was looking great even as a 10-year-old, and I just sat there—dead quiet and not moving a muscle—staring at him through the little slits in the closet door. What can I say, it was just exhilarating, watching your little brother totally naked without him knowing. It’s still so vivid in my mind— the sight of his small, supple body as he toweled off, put on clothes, and then played with his action figures. To this day, I don’t think he knows about it, and my parents certainly never found out. I don’t know, maybe part of me wanted to get caught. Maybe part of me wanted him to open that closet door and find me crouched there in the dark. But look, I have no doubt Jay will get it right for the http://images.chron.com/blogs/askacat/hatcat.JPG this season. He’s one heck of a football coach.”

Roberto Spiralli, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 14:18 (ten years ago)

tampa trade out a couple good players on D, jonathan casillas to NE and mark barron to STL. big pick up for the rams there. supposedly desperately trying to get rid of doug martin a rb who had a big game that one time 2 years ago

Roberto Spiralli, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 20:19 (ten years ago)

bah! i was hoping the iggs were gonna get barron.

Mordy, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 20:21 (ten years ago)

anything re v.jack?

Mordy, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 20:21 (ten years ago)

doug martin a rb who had a big game that one time 2 years ago

For real. Even when this dude is healthy (which is rare), he's a fantasy waste except for a little bit of good yield in his rookie season.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 20:28 (ten years ago)

Albert Breer @AlbertBreer · 30m 30 minutes ago
Per source, the Bucs are keeping RB Doug Martin and WR Vincent Jackson.

bummer

Mordy, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 20:33 (ten years ago)

It would surely be a sign of the apocalypse if Tim Tebow were to some how end up in Dallas.

earlnash, Thursday, 30 October 2014 05:08 (ten years ago)

It would, because that guy's never going to put on pads again under any other circumstances.
