NE and GBP both on +105 pt differential, way out in front in their respective conferences. home field would be huge for NE but even if they secured that, there is no way you could claim they have a clear shot to the super bowl. but who is going to stop green bay? before yesterday the eagles seemed like the most likely candidate.

that game at lambeau in a couple weeks' time is going to be a peach. hopefully it will go like the last game they played at lambeau, 0-35. these teams right now tho are a lot closer to the 2010 versions where matt flynn nearly beat NE at foxboro.

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 17 November 2014 14:45 (ten years ago)

I'm not bandwagoning the Cards or anything, but I think they'd probably give GB a hard time if they played in AZ.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 17 November 2014 14:52 (ten years ago)

sf did not look great yesterday but I really dont think gb would have an easy time w/ them in the div round

johnny crunch, Monday, 17 November 2014 14:59 (ten years ago)

why is it so hard to believe a 9-1 team is actually good?? they are so weird. amazing defense no matter who is playing, fantastic group of skill position players on offense but no line and no qb. there next game is the toughest remaining, away at seattle, and even that doesn't seem too tough right now. KCC at home is tricky i guess. but they could totally win out! but can you really imagine them beating GBP in the conference game? it seems preposterous.

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 17 November 2014 15:06 (ten years ago)

i think SF are pretty mediocre this year and i'd give them close to 0% chance in a playoff game at lambeau. their defense is not working right now and the green bay WRs will eat them up.

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 17 November 2014 15:09 (ten years ago)

I would find it hard to say GB are the best team until they win a tough road game, but they don't have one on their schedule, besides (maybe) Buffalo. Sure they won in Miami but they had to really pull that one out at the last second - Seahawks and Lions both crushed them. Granted that was much earlier in the season before the offense started to click but there were a lot of trouble signs in New Orleans. My worry is that teams are gonna start targetting Clinton-Dix, who's sadly looked overmatched thus far. That said, if the defense can play alright and if Lacy continues to be a Lynch-style beast I think they're gonna be real hard to stop.

Abstinence Hawk (frogbs), Monday, 17 November 2014 16:43 (ten years ago)

the chargers barely beating the raiders at home was sort of demoralizing
