whos the title quote abt, roger goodell?

johnny crunch, Thursday, 4 December 2014 17:27 (ten years ago)

rg3?

Mr. Snrub, Thursday, 4 December 2014 19:47 (ten years ago)

rodney harrison on eli but the real answer is D) All of the above

Roberto Spiralli, Thursday, 4 December 2014 19:48 (ten years ago)

Actually that quote works for like 75% of all starting QBs.

Mr. Snrub, Thursday, 4 December 2014 20:39 (ten years ago)

I would've bet good money on that being about RG3

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24865895/report-jay-gruden-is-done-with-robert-griffin-iii

This is pretty much Jay Gruden saying, "It's either him or me, which way you want to go?" I don't think it is the old school stance to play this out in the media by a head coach, but it might be the new school way especially working with a goofy owner like Snyder.

london fletcher going off on washington def coordinator jim haslett

clueless as a defensive coordinator
so bad that he would've made the 85 bears Into a mediocre defense
Jay Gruden better get him out the door, because he's probably backstabbing Jay like he did everybody else

Browns offense really let down the D. Cleveland should have won by 10+. Indy took a beating and kept trying to move forward though, which is somewhat admirable. Lots of dropped balls by Colt recievers. Luck got hit quite a few times. That one where he was running for the first down near the end of the game where he was getting tackled and Jim Leonard hit him up high (legal), was nasty. Barkevious Mingo is one of the truly great NFL names and he got a good shot on Luck, but in that play Luck was pretty impressive as Mingo had to hit him a couple times to get him down. Joe Hayden and the other DB #22 made a ton of big plays today. Browns defense the past couple of years has been ready for prime time, but again their offense is just not that good at all.

Browns/Colts was one of the more entertaining games I have seen this year.

Looking at standings and schedules, I got to think the maligned Carolina Panthers might have a dark horse shot of making the playoffs. Their last three games are Tampa, Cleveland and Atlanta. I think if they win out, they will win that fugly division and looking at that schedule, I think it possible.

11 yards has never seemed so far

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 8 December 2014 04:18 (ten years ago)

xxp yeah you can't keep playing with 10 guys within a couple yards of the line of scrimmage, its just not going to work.

call all destroyer, Monday, 8 December 2014 04:20 (ten years ago)

fair play to novak, took a couple kicks to get his leg in but he's punting like a champ since

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 8 December 2014 04:21 (ten years ago)

yeah he's been fine, feel like eventually one guy will do both jobs.

on the flipside, the bills are carrying a kickoff specialist this year which has bought them an impressive 13th ranking in touchback percentage.

call all destroyer, Monday, 8 December 2014 04:23 (ten years ago)

lag∞n, Monday, 8 December 2014 16:20 (ten years ago)

One thing I learned from the playoff machine (http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine) is that the Chargers can still get the #1 seed if literally everything goes their way.

polyphonic, Monday, 8 December 2014 19:04 (ten years ago)

the rest of your games are kind of awkward, even tho chargers are clearly better than niners and chiefs at this point. beat the broncos at home next week and anything can happen tho. most likely you get 2 wins and hope cincy drop two out of @cle vs.den @pit which is not hard to see happening for a soft wildcard against the afc north winner rather than 6th seed vs indy which i don't think goes well.

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 8 December 2014 20:18 (ten years ago)

I don't know if the Chargers are clearly better than either of those teams but I like your optimism.

polyphonic, Monday, 8 December 2014 20:33 (ten years ago)

both those teams lost to the raiders recently which i think is a pretty sound yardstick

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 8 December 2014 20:36 (ten years ago)

chargers D was pretty magnificent yesterday iirc

lag∞n, Monday, 8 December 2014 20:57 (ten years ago)

Prince Kajuku (Bill Magill), Tuesday, 9 December 2014 03:39 (ten years ago)

I'm going to falcons steelers next week. With this performance it might be 60% steeler fans. Ugh

Prince Kajuku (Bill Magill), Tuesday, 9 December 2014 03:40 (ten years ago)

The Pack is just a step ahead of everyone. Aaron Rodgers just does not make bad throws and the guy can stretch out plays so long, it's just efficiency at the position at another level. NE is the next closest and they are not far away. I think the big thing with 3 weeks to go is those two staying healthy.

earlnash, Tuesday, 9 December 2014 03:41 (ten years ago)

Rodgers makes it look pretty effortless. Then again with 10 seconds to throw I might even be able to find an open guy. But the guy is a great fucking qb

Prince Kajuku (Bill Magill), Tuesday, 9 December 2014 03:45 (ten years ago)

good thing Rodgers is freakin' amazing, because their whole defensive strategy of going man-to-man on Julio Jones all game (if they were even covering him at all) was totally not working

Abstinence Hawk (frogbs), Tuesday, 9 December 2014 05:52 (ten years ago)

Jones has had 21 catches for 458 yards. William Gay has some toast in his future.
